László Fekete (strongman)
László Fekete (born 1958, in Ősi) is a strongman from Hungary. He was ten times Hungarian Strongest Man from 1988 to 1997 and participated in the World's Strongest Man finals of 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1999. Between 1991-2001 in parallel with original WSM series, Fekete organised the world natural strongest man mini series in Hungary in which he also participated. His son also competes in strongman competition. In the 19th century, the term strongman referred to an exhibitor of strength or similar circus performers who performed feats of strength. More recently, strength athletics, also known as strongman competitions, have grown in popularity. These competitions are now composed of a variety of events in which competitors have to move the highest weights possible, the winner being the one having the highest tally across all events. World's Strongest Man
The World's Strongest Man is an international Strongman competition held every year. Organized by American event management company IMG, a subsidiary of Endeavor, it is broadcast in the US during summers and in the UK around the end of December each year. Competitors qualify based on placing in the top three at the four to eight Giants Live events each year. The current event sponsor is SBD Apparel. Dorog
Dorog (german: Drostdorf) is a small town in Komárom-Esztergom County, Hungary. It lies north-west from the center of Budapest. Etymology The name comes from Slavic ''drugъ'' (drug) - a partner, comrade, "brother". History The valley between the Pilis and Gerecse mountains has been inhabited since the Neolithic. A Roman military road westwards from Aquincum passed by the present-day town of Dorog, where Roman dwellings with floor heating have been found, along with conduits, graves and milestones.
