Lyndon School, Solihull
Lyndon School is a co-educational secondary school in Solihull, West Midlands, England. It is situated near to the Birmingham boundary and draws pupils from both Solihull and Birmingham. The school regularly houses half term sports clubs. It also held a specialist Humanities College status between 2006 and 2010 when the Specialist Schools Programme ended. The school converted to academy status in September 2015. Lyndon Institute
Lyndon Institute is a coeducational, nonprofit, independent, day and boarding comprehensive high school located on a campus in the village of Lyndon Center, in the town of Lyndon, Vermont. It provides education for grades 9 through 12 for both local students and students resident on campus. Tuition is $45 000 for full boarders and $16,825 for day students. The current head of school is Twiladawn Perry. History Lyndon Institute opened in 1867 as the ''Lyndon Literary and Biblical Institution'' by the Free Will Baptists. Its first academic term was in 1870. The campus served as home to the ''Lyndon Commercial College'' from 1886 and in 1910, Theodore Newton Vail, the first president of New England Telephone Company and the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) founded the ''Vermont School of Agriculture'' on the campus. Vail served on the Board of Trustees for twenty years. As chairman, he saved the institution from financial ruin in 1912.

Lyndon State College
Lyndon State College was a public liberal arts college at Lyndon, Vermont. In 2018, it merged with Johnson State College to create Northern Vermont University; the former campus of Lyndon State College is now the university's Lyndon campus. It was accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. History In 1911, the college was founded as a one-year normal school housed in rented space in nearby Lyndon Institute. The term "normal school" is based on the French ''école normale supérieure'', a school to educate teachers. Consistent with education tradition of the times, the Lyndon Training Course expanded its curriculum in one-year increments, and the first two-year class graduated in 1923. In 1927, Rita Bole became principal of the school. The first three-year class, consisting of nine students, graduated in 1934.
