Lyn Ossome
Marilyn ('Lyn') Ossome is an academic, specialising in feminist political theory and feminist political economics. She is currently Senior Research Associate of at the University of Johannesburg and a member of the advisory board for the Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa, amongst other accolades. She is an editorial board member of ''Agrarian South: Journal of Political Economy'', and in 2021, she co-edited the volume ''Labour Questions in the Global South''. She serves on the executive committee for the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA). Feminist Political Theory
Feminist political theory is an area of philosophy that focuses on understanding and critiquing the way political philosophy is usually construed and on articulating how political theory might be reconstructed in a way that advances feminist concerns. Feminist political theory combines aspects of both feminist theory and political theory in order to take a feminist approach to traditional questions within political philosophy. Feminist Africa
''Feminist Africa'' is a peer-reviewed academic journal that addresses feminist topics from an "African continental perspective". It is published by the African Gender Institute (University of Cape Town). Its founding editor-in-chief is Amina Mama (Mills College and University of California, Davis). It was accredited in 2005 by the South African Department of Education. This allows authors publishing in the journal to collect publication subsidy. The journal is primarily online but also distributes a small number of print copies. Founding According to Mama, the journal was created partly in response to a bias in existing scholarship towards the "Women In Development" (WID) perspective. International Association For Feminist Economics
The International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) is a non-profit international association dedicated to raising awareness and inquiry of feminist economics. It has approximately six hundred members in sixty-four countries. The association publishes a quarterly journal entitled ''Feminist Economics''. Since 1998 IAFFE has held NGO special consultative status.
