Luke Robinson (died 1669)
Luke Robinson (''c.'' 1610–1669), of Riseborough, was an English Member of Parliament and of the Council of State during the Commonwealth period. Robinson was the eldest son of Sir Arthur Robinson of Deighton, Northallerton, Yorkshire and his first wife Elizabeth Walthall, daughter of William Walthall mercer of London. He was baptised on 6 September 1610. He was educated at Shenley, Hertfordshire, Aughton, Yorkshire and St Peter's, York before attending Christ's College, Cambridge in 1627. He was a student of Gray's Inn in 1630. Robinson was elected MP for Scarborough in 1645, taking the place of a member who had been expelled for his Royalist sympathies, and sat for the town through the remainder of the Long Parliament, being an active member of the Rump after Pride's Purge, and also served as Bailiff of Scarborough in 1652. He subsequently represented Yorkshire in the Second and Malton in the Third Parliaments of the Protectorate, before resuming his seat for Scarb ...

Luke Robinson (died 1773) was an English barrister and politician. He was the third son of Charles Robinson of Kingston upon Hull. He was educated at Gray's Inn, where he was called to the bar in 1722, and became a bencher in 1743. He was elected at the 1741 general election as one of the two Members of Parliament (MPs) for Hedon. Professional wrestling career Early career At the age of fifteen, Robinson and his friends would put on shows in Robinson's basement with strobe lights, and even had a work belt that they used as a championship belt. Robinson claims the wrestling shows were his and his friend's "dirty little secret". Luke James Robinson (born 20 November 2001) is a professional footballer who plays as a left-back for club St Johnstone, on loan from side Wigan Athletic.
