Luke O'Farrell
Luke O'Farrell (born 25 February 1990) is an Irish hurler who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Midleton. He played for the Cork senior hurling team for seven years, during which time he usually lined out as a right corner-forward. Playing career Midleton CBS O'Farrell played in all grades of hurling with Midleton CBS Secondary School before progressing onto the college's senior team. On 12 March 2006, he scored a goal from full-forward when Midelton CBS defeated St. Flannan's College from Ennis by 2-08 to 0-12 to win the Harty Cup. Midleton O'Farrell joined the Midleton club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. On 20 November 2011, he was at full-forward when Midleton defeated Duhallow by 1-11 to 0-08 to win the Cork Under-21 Championship title for the first time in 22 years. Midleton GAA
Midleton Hurling and Football Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Midleton in County Cork, Ireland. The club plays in the Imokilly division of Cork GAA. History The concept of a Gaelic Athletic Association was first mooted in 1883 when a sub-committee of the Irish Republican Brotherhood was formed with the ideal of creating a National Athletic body. Midleton man, P.N Fitzgerald was one of the committee members who eventually set up the Gaelic Athletic Association and thus Midleton's love affair and commitment to the G.A.A. was established. The club was formally affiliated to the association, when at the third meeting of the fledgling organisation, held in Thurles on 17 January 1885; Jeremiah J Coffey formally registered the club as Midleton Football club. 2018 Cork Senior Hurling Championship
The 2018 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 130th staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the 2018 opening fixtures took place on 10 December 2017. The championship began on 22 March 2018 and ended on 14 October 2018. Imokilly were the defending champions. On 14 October 2018, Imokilly won the championship after a 4-19 to 1-18 defeat of Midleton in the final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. The GAA Hurling Intermediate All-Ireland Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Munster Hurling Intermediate Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1961 for the strong hurling teams in the province of Munster in Ireland. In some cases the teams consist of players who are not on the senior squads for their county (thus in effect, they are a second team), or in others of players who are from junior or intermediate clubs. The competition was established to prevent the stronger counties from dominating the Munster Junior Hurling Championship. The series of games are played during the summer months with the Munster final currently being played in July. The prize for the winning team is the Sweet Afton Cup. Robert O'Driscoll
Robert O' Driscoll (born 20 February 1989) is an Irish hurler who played at right corner-forward for the Cork senior team, under 21 team and minor team. Born in Glanmire, County Cork, O'Driscoll first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of 18 when he first linked up with the Cork minor team losing to Tipperary in the Munster final and then at 19 was called up to cork under 21 team . He made his senior debut in the 2009 National Hurling League. O'Driscoll has since gone on to play with cork seniors in 2009, however, he has enjoyed little success in terms of silverware. At club level O'Driscoll plays with Sarsfields and has won three championship medals and one county minor medal .
