Lucas Rafael Araújo Lima (born 9 July 1990), known as Lucas Lima, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Santos. Club career Inter de Limeira Born in Marília, São Paulo, Lucas Lima finished his formation with Inter de Limeira, joining their youth setup in 2009, after being released by Rio Preto and América-SP. He was promoted to the former's main squad in 2010. Lucas Lima made his senior debut on 16 May 2010, starting in a 2–1 home win against Brasilis. He scored his first senior goal on 30 May 2010, netting the second in a 3–0 away win against Palmeirinha. In August 2011 Lucas Lima had a trial at La Liga side Racing de Santander, but nothing came of it. Lucas Pedro Alves de Lima (born 10 October 1991), known as Lucas Lima, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for İstanbul Başakşehir. Career Lucas Lima made his senior debut for Criciúma in the Série C in a match against Marília at the Estádio Heriberto Hülse on 24 May 2009. Later that year, Lima was signed by Internacional. In 2011, he was sent on loan to Série B side Paraná where he spent his first senior season. After not being able to establish himself at Internacional, and making only two first-team appearances, he moved on to Botafogo. Lima was part of the squad that won the Campeonato Carioca in 2013 and qualified Botafogo for the 2014 Copa Libertadores after 18 years absence of the tournament. 2014 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A
The 2014 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A was the 58th edition of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the top-level of professional football in Brazil. Cruzeiro, the defending champions, won the title for the second time in a row and the fourth time overall. The championship had a break between the ninth and tenth rounds due to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which was held between June and July in Brazil. Cruzeiro took the lead in round 6 and from then on, stayed in that position, winning the title after a 2–1 victory over Goiás in the Mineirão stadium, in round 36. On the other side of the table, Criciúma, that had been in the relegation zone since round 17, and held the last place since round 30, was relegated after a 1–1 draw against Flamengo, also in round 36.
