Dragons RFC ( cy, Dreigiau) are one of the four professional rugby union regional teams in Wales. They are owned by the Welsh Rugby Union and play their home games at Rodney Parade, Newport and at other grounds around the region. Jersey Reds is a rugby club based in Jersey, Channel Islands that currently competes at the RFU Championship, which is the second tier of English professional rugby. Until season 2022/23, the professional arm of Jersey Reds was part of Jersey RFC, a members' club established in 1879 which also had an amateur men's side, Jersey Reds Athletic, who play in the National Leagues (tier 7); Jersey Reds Women, who play in the Women's National Championship South 2 league; and a thriving Mini section with over 500 boys and girls participating. The Wales national Under 20 rugby team is for Welsh rugby union players aged 20 or under on 1 January of the year during which they are selected. Under 20 age grade rugby came into existence, as a result of the IRB combining the Under 19 Rugby World Championship and Under 21 Rugby World Championship into a single IRB Junior World Championship tournament. Luc Jones
Luc Jones (born 21 November 1991) is a Welsh track racing cyclist. He began cycling with the New Tredegar Nomads club at the age of eight, riding with his father Ian, himself a former Welsh champion sprinter. He was one of the Team TrackCycling.co.uk members in 2005, who were part funded by the launch of a coffee brand by Magnus Bäckstedt. In 2007, Jones was the Youth British National Champion in both the sprint and 500 m time trial events. He became the first ever winner of the prestigious White Hope Sprint at Herne Hill Velodrome's Good Friday meeting to hold an under 16 championship title at the same time. He also went on to win the Ron Beckett scratch race the same day. He was described as having "prodigious sprinting talent" by Gerry McManus, a Cycling News reporter. The RFU Championship is an English rugby union competition comprising twelve clubs. It is the second level of men’s English rugby and is played by both professional and semi-professional players. The competition has existed since 1987, when English clubs were first organised into leagues. Organisation and format The Championship is governed by the Rugby Football Union (RFU). Neath Rugby Football Club ( cy, Clwb Rygbi Castell-Nedd) is a Welsh rugby union club which plays in the WRU Championship. The club's home ground is The Gnoll, Neath. The team is known as the All Blacks because of the team colours: black with only a white cross pattée as an emblem. Neath RFC is the oldest rugby club in Wales, having been formed in 1871. A flanker, Jones has experience at various different levels of the game, both as a player and a coach. Jones played most of his playing career for Neath RFC.
