''Loved by Thousands, Hated by Millions'' is a compilation album of songs from American crossover thrash band, M.O.D. It was released in 1995 on Megaforce Records and contains material from the band's first three albums – '' U.S.A. for M.O.D.'', ''Gross Misconduct'', and ''Rhythm of Fear'' – and the EP, '' Surfin' M.O.D.''. It also contains a number of new songs which were previously not on any other album. Songs from the band's previous album, 1994's ''Devolution'', were not included on this compilation because it was their first for another label. All albums up until then had been on Megaforce Records. ''Dictated Aggression'', their subsequent album, was on Music For Nations. Ithaca, New York
Ithaca is a city in the Finger Lakes region of New York, United States. Situated on the southern shore of Cayuga Lake, Ithaca is the seat of Tompkins County and the largest community in the Ithaca metropolitan statistical area. Crossover Thrash
Crossover thrash (often abbreviated to crossover) is a fusion genre of thrash metal and hardcore punk. The genre lies on a continuum between heavy metal and hardcore punk. Other genres on the same continuum, such as metalcore and grindcore, may overlap with crossover thrash. Paul Bartel
Paul Bartel (August 6, 1938 – May 13, 2000) was an American actor, writer and director. He was perhaps most known for his 1982 hit black comedy ''Eating Raoul'', which he wrote, starred in and directed. Bartel appeared in over 90 movies and TV episodes, including such titles as ''Eat My Dust'' (1976), Hollywood Boulevard (1976 film), ''Hollywood Boulevard'' (1976), ''Rock 'n' Roll High School'' (1979), ''Get Crazy'' (1983) and ''Amazon Women on the Moon'' (1987). Music For Nations
Music For Nations (MFN) is a British independent record label focusing mainly on rock and metal. It was a subsidiary of the larger label distributor Zomba Records, which was a division of BMG and later Sony Music Entertainment. Launched in 1983 by Martin Hooker, Music For Nations established itself as a European leader in the rock and metal world, with early signings like Tank, Exciter, Metallica (who had three gold albums while on MFN), Slayer and Megadeth paving the way. As MFN grew, the company expanded its operation to include not just licensed acts from the United States, but its own signings. It released albums by artists including Paradise Lost, Opeth, Anathema, Cradle of Filth, Testament and countless other metal bands. "Surfin'" is a song by American rock band the Beach Boys that was written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love. It was released as the debut record by the Beach Boys (with "Luau" on the B-side) in November 1961 on Candix Records and was included on the October 1962 album '' Surfin' Safari''. The single effectively began the Beach Boys' music career, establishing them at the vanguard of what was later dubbed the " California sound". It peaked at number 75 in the U.S. and was never released in the UK. The Beach Boys later re-recorded the song for their 1992 album '' Summer in Paradise''. ''Rhythm of Fear'' is the third full-length studio album from American crossover thrash band, M.O.D. It was released in 1992 on Megaforce Records and follows 1989's ''Gross Misconduct''. In 1994, the band subsequently released ''Devolution''. Line-up changes saw Billy Milano take up bass duties as well as vocals, and Dave Chavarri replacing Tim Mallare on drums after the latter's departure to New Jersey thrash band, Overkill. It was released in 1989 on Megaforce Records and Noise International and follows 1988's extended play '' Surfin' M.O.D.'' It was three years until the band released another record, with ''Rhythm of Fear'' in 1992.
