Love Of The Loved
"Love of the Loved" is a song written mainly by Paul McCartney, credited to Lennon–McCartney. It is one of his earliest compositions and featured in the Beatles live act in their early days. The group recorded the song at their 1962 audition for Decca Records, but never issued it on any of their official releases. Instead, Cilla Black recorded it for her debut single, which was produced by George Martin. The single reached No. 35 on the UK Singles Chart in October 1963. The Beatles audition version was left off ''Anthology 1'', even though the other Lennon–McCartney originals from the same session, " Hello Little Girl" and "Like Dreamers Do", were included. Recordings of "Love of the Loved" as the Beatles may have performed it were released as singles by US band The Poppees (1975) and Dutch band RollerCoaster (1980). Priscilla Maria Veronica White (27 May 1943 – 1 August 2015), better known as Cilla Black, was an English singer, actress and television presenter. Championed by her friends the Beatles, Black began her career as a singer in 1963. Her singles " Anyone Who Had a Heart" and "You're My World" both reached number one in the UK in 1964. She had 11 top 10 hits on the UK Singles Chart between then and 1971, and an additional eight hits that made the top 40. In May 2010, new research published by BBC Radio 2 showed that her version of "Anyone Who Had a Heart" was the UK's biggest-selling single by a female artist in the 1960s. "Like Dreamers Do" is a song written by Paul McCartney in 1959 and is one of the earliest written songs credited to Lennon–McCartney. It was most notably performed by the Beatles at their unsuccessful 1 January 1962 audition for Decca Records. That performance, which took place before Ringo Starr joined the band and featured Pete Best on drums, was recorded by Decca and was finally released on the Beatles' ''Anthology 1'' in 1995. The Beatles' Decca rendition of "Like Dreamers Do" was received favourably by employees at EMI's publishing arm, Ardmore & Beechwood, in February 1962. "I Saw Her Standing There" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon. It is the opening track on the band's 1963 debut UK album ''Please Please Me'' and their debut US album '' Introducing... The Beatles''. In December 1963, Capitol Records released the song in the United States as the B-side on the label's first single by the Beatles, "I Want to Hold Your Hand". The Beatnix
The Beatnix is an Australian Beatles tribute band. It is amongst the longest running Beatles tribute shows in the world. History The concept for the band was conceived and assembled in March 1980 by founding member Tony Dean as a live performance entity. Through the years band membership has rolled over. The Beatnix show includes fully authentic musical instruments similar to those used by The Beatles. These include guitars by Gretsch, Höfner, Rickenbacker and Gibson, Vox AC30 guitar amplifiers and a Vox AC50 bass amplifier with a T60 bass cabinet. A tribute act, tribute band or tribute group is a music group, singer, or musician who specifically plays the music of a well-known music act.
