''Love and War'' is a 1967 Australian TV series. It consists of six plays shot in ABC's Gore Hill studios. All of the self-contained episodes were produced by John Croyston, but not all of them were written by Australian script-writers. Peter Rowley (sometimes credited as Harrison Rowley during his early career) (born April 29, 1952) is a New Zealand comic actor and writer. He is best known for his television roles, where he has played in numerous popular television series as comic foil and straight man to comedians such as Billy T. James, David McPhail and Jon Gadsby. Rowley started his comedy career in New Zealand. He made his New Zealand television debut as an actor and writer in the satirical sketch show ''A Week of It'', following which he continued to work with that show's stars David McPhail and Jon Gadsby in ''McPhail and Gadsby'' and '' Letter to Blanchy''. Sir William Gerald Golding (19 September 1911 – 19 June 1993) was a British novelist, playwright, and poet. Best known for his debut novel ''Lord of the Flies'' (1954), he published another twelve volumes of fiction in his lifetime. "Envoy Extraordinary" is a 1956 novella by British writer William Golding, first published by Eyre & Spottiswoode as one third of the collection '', Never'', alongside "Consider Her Ways" by John Wyndham and "Boy in Darkness" by Mervyn Peake.
