''Love Story'' is a 1981 Indian Hindi-language romantic film directed by Rahul Rawail. The film stars Rajendra Kumar alongside his son Kumar Gaurav and Vijeta Pandit, both making their film debuts. Vidya Sinha, Danny Denzongpa, Amjad Khan and Aruna Irani appear in supporting roles. Kumar Gaurav was launched in Bollywood through ''Love Story''. The film achieved "All Time Blockbuster" status, making Kumar Gaurav a "Star" overnight. The film had revenues of over 1 crore in Mumbai territory. The movie had the third-highest earnings of 1981 after ''Kranti'' and ''Naseeb''. It did over 7.2 Cr business in India with approximately 3.50 Cr distributor share. Rahul Rawail
Rahul Rawail is an Indian film director and editor in Bollywood known for his films like '' Love Story'' (1981), ''Betaab'' (1983), '' Arjun'' (1985), ''Dacait'' (1987), ''Anjaam'' (1994), '' Arjun Pandit'' (1999) and the recent one '' Jo Bole So Nihaal'' (2005). Amit Kumar
Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. After Burman's death in 1994, citing a lack of quality music composition, Kumar withdrew from playback singing and concentrated on live orchestra shows. Anand Bakshi (21 July 1930 – 30 March 2002) was an Indian poet and lyricist. He was nominated for the Filmfare award for Best lyricist a total of 40 times, resulting in 4 wins.
