"Love Is the Name" is the debut single by American recording artist Sofia Carson. It was written and produced by Steve Mac, with additional songwriting by Ina Wroldsen. The song was released on April 7, 2016 by Hollywood and Republic Records. An official remix featuring Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin was also released on the same day. "Love Is the Name" is an interpolation of Austrian band Opus' 1984 single "Live Is Life", which was the main inspiration behind its production. Commercially, it reached the top forty on the Latin Pop Songs and Tropical Songs component charts of ''Billboard'' in the United States, and peaked inside the top thirty in Poland. The song's accompanying music video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, portrays Carson dancing in the sunset on a beach and in a luxurious mansion. The Tropical Airplay chart (formerly known as Tropical/Salsa and Tropical Songs) is a record chart published by ''Billboard'' magazine introduced in 1994. The first number-one song on the chart was " Quien Eres Tu" by Luis Enrique. Originally, rankings on the chart were determined by the amount of airplay a song received on radio stations that primarily played tropical music, namely music originating from the Spanish-speaking areas of the Caribbean such as salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, vallenato, and tropical fusions. Beat Freaks is an all-female breaking dance crew from Los Angeles, California. Each of its ten members have achieved individual success dancing before taking part of the group, which was created in 2003. The Beat Freaks were featured on MTV's America's Best Dance Crew (Season 3) and finished the show as runners-up.
