Louis VI of Hesse-Darmstadt (german: Ludwig) (25 January 1630 – 24 April 1678) was Landgrave of Hesse-Darmstadt from 1661 to 1678. He was the eldest of three sons of the Landgrave George II of Hesse-Darmstadt and Sophia Eleonore of Saxony. Marriage and children Louis VI was married twice. 1. On 24 November 1650 he married his maternal cousin Maria Elisabeth of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorp (1634–1665), daughter of Frederick III, Duke of Holstein-Gottorp. The Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt (german: Landgrafschaft Hessen-Darmstadt) was a Imperial State, State of the Holy Roman Empire, ruled by a younger branch of the House of Hesse. It was formed in 1567 following the division of the Landgraviate of Hesse between the four sons of Landgrave Philip I, Landgrave of Hesse, Philip I. The residence of the landgraves was in Darmstadt, hence the name. As a result of the Napoleonic Wars, the landgraviate was elevated to the Grand Duchy of Hesse following the Empire's dissolution in 1806. William Louis, Duke Of Württemberg
William Louis of Württemberg (7 January 1647 – 23 June 1677) was the ruler of the senior Duchy of Württemberg from 1674 until his death in 1677. William Louis was born in Stuttgart, the ninth child of Eberhard III, Duke of Württemberg, and his first wife Anna Katharina of Kyrburg. Christian of Saxe-Eisenberg (6 January 1653 – 28 April 1707) was a duke of Saxe-Eisenberg. He was born in Gotha, the eighth, but fifth surviving, son of Ernst I, Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Altenburg and Elisabeth Sophie of Saxe-Altenburg.
