''Lost in Time'' is a computer adventure game developed and published by Coktel Vision in 1993. It was promoted as being "The first Interactive Adventure Film using Full-motion video, Full Motion Video Technology" and contained four graphical elements: full motion video, hand painted and digitized backgrounds and 3D computer graphics, 3D decor. Plot In 1992, a woman exploring a shipwreck has mysteriously been transported back in time to 1840 when the ship was still intact, she has no choice but to explore. Her sleuthing leads to revelations about her past. Release The original release in Europe was divided into two parts – that is, two sets of 3.5" Floppy disks sold separately. A CD-ROM version, ''Lost in Time: Parts 1 & 2'', was released at the same time as the floppy version and contained enough storage space for both parts as well as additional and longer video sequences with a higher frame rate and digitized speech. Coktel Vision
Coktel Vision (also known as Coktel and Coktel Studio) was a French video game developer and video game publisher, publisher based in Paris. It was best known for its educational game, educational and adventure games. History Coktel Vision was founded in 1984 by Roland Oskian, an engineer and a former executive at Matra Espace. The French gaming market was still developing at the time, the company consisted of only several people who worked from Oskian's house, with Roland acting as a director and composer and his wife Catherine creating graphics and cover art. Coktel made its name by publishing simulation, action and narrative-driven adventure titles for the Thomson computers, Thomson and Amstrad CPC computers. ''PC Zone'', founded in 1993, was the first magazine dedicated to games for IBM-compatible personal computers to be published in the United Kingdom. Earlier PC magazines such as ''PC Leisure'', ''PC Format'' and ''PC Plus'' had covered games but only as part of a wider remit. The precursor to ''PC Zone'' was the award-winning multiformat title ''Zero''. The magazine was published by Dennis Publishing Ltd. until 2004, when it was acquired by Future plc along with ''Computer And Video Games'' for £2.5m. In July 2010, it was announced by Future plc that ''PC Zone'' was to close. The last issue of ''PC Zone'' went on sale 2 September 2010. First issue ''PC Zone'' was first published by Dennis Publishing in April 1993 and cost £3.95.
