''Losing Sleep'' is the debut album by Axle Whitehead, released on 23 August 2008. Whitehead began working on material for his debut album shortly after he resigned as host of '' Video Hits'' with several songwriters and producers in the twelve months preceding the album's release. The album's first single, " I Don't Do Surprises", became Whitehead's first top ten single, peaking at number eight on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, and also reached number two on the Australasian singles chart, and was certified Gold by ARIA. The album's second single was " Anywhere". The album's third single was "Satellite". Axle Whitehead
Axle Whitehead (born 16 December 1980) is an Australian TV host, singer, musician, and actor. He was a host on '' Video Hits''. In 2008, he released his first studio album '' Losing Sleep'' which debuted outside the ARIA top 50. He also played Liam Murphy in Channel Seven's '' Home and Away'' and was the host of ''The World's Strictest Parents''. In 2015, Whitehead began playing the role of Davis, a musician, in the Showtime series, '' Shameless''. He formerly hosted game show ''The Wall''. Career Music In 1999 Whitehead was accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts to study Jazz Improvisation, then toured Australia and China with various bands. ''Video Hits'' was an Australian music video program that first aired on 15 February 1987. From 7 May 2011 it broadcast on Network Ten for two hours each Saturday and Sunday morning: 10am – 12pm on Saturdays and 8am – 10am on Sundays. At the time of its cancellation, ''Video Hits'' was the world's second longest running music show after the Eurovision Song Contest. The show was cancelled in July 2011 and its last episode aired on 6 August 2011. History From 1987 to 1999, the show highlighted songs featured in the Australian Music Report chart each week. This fluctuated from a Top 40 format to a Top 30, Top 20 and in early 2008, just a Top 10 countdown. In the 2000s, the show switched to the ARIA Report. Terepai Chalmers Richmond (born 21 February 1971) is an Australian drummer. He joined the Sydney-based rock band The Whitlams in September 1999 and formerly played in acid jazz group Directions in Groove (d.i.g.) (1991–1998, 2008). Biography Terepai Chalmers Richmond was born on 21 February 1971 to a Scottish father and a Cook Island mother who ran a restaurant in Sydney. He started drumming in his parents' Polynesian show band at the age of six, with his sister Jennifer dancing, where he performed several shows every week until finishing school at eighteen. The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings.
