Lorraine (Kaffe Song)
Bulgaria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song "Lorraine" written by Vesselin Vesselinov-Eko and Orlin Pavlov. The song was performed by the band Kaffe. The Bulgarian broadcaster Bulgarian National Television (BNT) organised the national final ''Bŭlgarskata pesen v „Evroviziya 2005”'' in order to select the Bulgarian entry for the 2005 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. 24 entries were selected to participate in the national final which consisted of two shows: a semi-final and a final, held on 22 January 2005 and 12 February 2005, respectively. The top twelve songs of the semi-final as determined by an eleven-member jury panel qualified to the final. In the final, public televoting exclusively selected "Lorraine" performed by Kaffe as the winning entry with 76,590 votes. Kaffe (band)
Kaffe ( bg, Каффе) was a Bulgarian jazz band who represented their home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. The group, who sung the song "Lorraine (Kaffe song), Lorraine", finished 19th in the semi-final. Biography During the last three years, Kaffe have become one of the most popular bands in Bulgaria with hits like “There Again”, “Isn’t It Love”, “No More” and the number 1 bestseller “Instead Of Me”. Mariana Popova ( bg, Мариана Попова) (born 6 June 1978) is a Bulgarian singer. She is known for representing Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, trainer on The Voice of Bulgaria 2011 and from Vip Brother 2012 – Bulgaria Biography Mariana Popova was born in Sofia, Bulgaria on 6 June 1978. She has been studying music since she was 11, and later she also studied modern and jazz ballet. From 1996 until 2000, she was part of the group Cocomania. Bulgaria has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 14 times since making its debut at the 2005 contest in Kyiv. The Eurovision Song Contest 2004 was the 49th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. The National Palace of Culture (, ; abbreviated as , NDK), located in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, is the largest, multifunctional conference and exhibition centre in south-eastern Europe. It was opened in 1981 in celebration of Bulgaria's 1300th anniversary. Vassil Naydenov (Cyrillic: Васил Найденов) is a Bulgarian singer-songwriter who was popular in his native country and the Eastern bloc during the late 1970s and 1980s. Biography and career Naydenov was born on 3 September 1950 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He studied music at the Faculty of Popular Music at the Bulgarian Musical Academy, where he honed his skills at the piano, the trumpet, and other instruments.
