Lorna Russell
Lorna Muriel Russell (born October 4, 1933) is a Canadian artist, known for her distinctive prairie landscapes in watercolor, guache, and oil that interpret her home province of Saskatchewan. Career Lorna Russell Russell was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and attended the University of Saskatchewan where she received a Bachelor of Science in 1956. In 1968 she received her Professional "A" Teaching Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions. In 1981, she had a retrospective at the Shoestring Gallery. In 1983, her drawings from 1980 to 1983 were exhibited at the Mendel Art Gallery. Her work is represented in the collections of the Canada Council Art Bank (Ottawa), MacKenzie Art Gallery (Regina), Mendel Art Gallery (Saskatoon), Moose Jaw Art Museum and National Exhibition Centre, Kamloops Public Art Gallery, and the Saskatchewan Arts Board, as well as elsewhere. MacKenzie Art Gallery
The MacKenzie Art Gallery (MAG; french: Musee d’art MacKenzie) is an art museum located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. The museum occupies the multipurpose T. C. Douglas Building, situated at the edge of the Wascana Centre. The building holds eight galleries totaling to of exhibition space. The museum originates from a private collection donated to Regina College (later the University of Regina) from Norman MacKenzie. In 1953, the college established the Norman MacKenzie Art Gallery in order to exhibit works from that collection. In 1990, the art museum was incorporated as an independent institution from the university, and moved into the T. C. Douglas Building at the southwestern edge of Wascana Centre. The MacKenzie Art Gallery's permanent collection has over 5,000 works spanning over 5,000 years of Canadian history. Honor Elizabeth Kever
Honor Elizabeth Kever (born October 14, 1948) is an American-born Canadian artist. Kever was born in Boise, Idaho, and has been a Canadian citizen since 1975. She received a BFA from the University of Saskatchewan in 1977 and until 1988 she worked and exhibited as Honor Rogers. She is married to Saskatoon writer David Carpenter (writer). She is an active member of the Saskatoon arts community working as an instructor at several institutions including The Photographers Gallery, Saskatchewan School for the Arts, and Mendel Art Gallery The Mendel Art Gallery was a major creative cultural centre in City Park, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Operating from 1964 to 2015, it housed a permanent collection of more than 7,500 works of art.
