Lords Of The Storm
''Lords of the Storm'' is an original novel written by David A. McIntee and based on the long-running British science fiction on television, science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. The novel features the Fifth Doctor and Vislor Turlough, Turlough. Plot The Sontaran-Rutan (Doctor Who), Rutan war has gone on for millennia, and with high costs: Billions dead and whole star systems annihilated. However, victory may be within reach, courtesy of the human colony world of Raghi. When the Doctor and Turlough arrive there, they find a society ruled by a strict caste system. But there is more: people are being infected by a mysterious disease, or vanishing in large numbers while strange objects orbit the sun. The Sontarans ( ) are a fictional race of extraterrestrial humanoids principally portrayed in the British science fiction television programme ''Doctor Who''. A warrior race characterised by their ruthlessness and fearlessness of death, they were conceived by writer and future story editor Robert Holmes and first appeared in the 1973 ''Doctor Who'' serial ''The Time Warrior''. Characteristics Culture The Sontarans are a race of humanoids with a stocky build, greenish brown skin, a distinctive dome-shaped head, and they have only three fingers on each hand, though some members of their species do have five fingers. Terrance William Dicks (14 April 1935 – 29 August 2019) was an English people, English author and television screenwriter, script editor and Television producer, producer. In television, he had a long association with the BBC science-fiction series ''Doctor Who'', working as a writer and also serving as the programme's script editor from 1968 to 1974. The Doctor Who News Page described him as "arguably the most prolific contributor to ''Doctor Who''". He later became a script editor and producer of classic serials for the BBC. Rutan (Doctor Who)
Rutans are a fictional extraterrestrial race from the British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who''. They have been at war with the Sontaran Empire for more than 50,000 years, (though another account claimed 10,000 years, though it is not known whether this Rutan was using a human timescale) and this war dominates both cultures to the exclusion of all else.
