Loona
Loona (commonly stylized in all caps or as LOOΠΔ; ; ja, 今月の少女, Kongetsu no Shōjo, Girl of the Month) is a South Korean girl group formed by Blockberry Creative. The group was introduced to the public through a pre-debut project that began in October 2016, where each of the 12 members was revealed in a periodic fashion by releasing a promotional single over the following 18 months. They debuted as a full ensemble with the extended play, ''+ +, [+ +]'' (2018), supported by the lead single "Favorite (Loona song), Favorite" and the title track "Hi High". In November 2022, Chuu was removed from the line-up. Name Loona's English name is derived from the Hangul letters ㅇㄷㅇㅅㄴ, each an Hangul#Letter placement within a block, initial consonant in the Syllable, syllabic blocks that make (''Idarui Sonyeo''). Loóna is a mobile app designed for relaxation and sleep. Created in 2019, the app is available globally on iOS, iPadOS and Android. The developer of the app is Loona Inc. (U.S.). Loóna was awarded the title of "Best App" in the U.S. by Google Play’s Best of 2020 Awards and won the 2021 Apple Design Award in the Visuals and Graphics category. History Loóna was developed by the team behind the AR face-swap app MSQRD that was acquired by Facebook in 2016. In 2019, after spending one year working for Facebook, Andrew Yanchurevich and Dmitry Doryn launched a new project—Loóna. Loona (Punjabi Epic)
Loona (Lūṇā) is a Punjabi epic verse play written by Shiv Kumar Batalvi. Based on the ancient legend of Puran Bhagat, this epic was bestowed with prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award in 1967, given by Sahitya Akademi (India's National Academy of Letters). Shiv became the youngest recipient of this prestigious award. Though Loona is portrayed as a villain in the legend, Shiv created the epic around her agony which caused her to become a villain. Plot The epic is based on the ancient legend of saint Puran Bhagat (Bhagat is the Punjabi word for a saint, devotee). Puran is a prince whose father marries a girl named Loona, who's much younger than his age. Loona, the stepmother of Puran, gets attracted to Puran and conveys her feelings to him. Loona (born Marie-José van der Kolk, on September 16, 1974 in IJmuiden, Netherlands), is a Dutch pop singer and dancer. Life and career 1994–1998: Beginnings and ''Life Is Just a Game'' Van der Kolk was born on 16 September 1974 in IJmuiden. In 1991, she met DJ and producer DJ Sammy at Zorba's Club in El Arenal Mallorca. In 1992, DJ Sammy became resident DJ at the Joy Palace Club in El Arenal, while Van der Kolk was a resident dancer there, for whom she started to be a background singer for live performances. She soon adopted the stage name "Carisma" and performed as a featured artist on DJ Sammy's music. Loona, Estonia
Loona is a village in Saaremaa Parish, Saare County in western Estonia. Before the administrative reform in 2017, the village was in Kihelkonna Parish. Loona Manor An estate has existed on this location at least since 1480 and the original building was a fortified manor house. This so-called "vassal castle" was destroyed at the beginning of the 17th century (Purtse Castle in eastern Estonia is a surviving example of the same type of building). The present building dates from 1785 and has been rebuilt at different times since then. During the Soviet occupation of Estonia, the building fell into disrepair. It was renovated in 1997.
