Logi Már Einarsson
Logi Már Einarsson (born 21 August 1964, in Akureyri) is an Icelandic politician and architect. Early life and education Logi grew up in Akureyri and took stúdentspróf from Menntaskólinn á Akureyri in 1985. He studied architecture at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design 1986– 92 and graduated as a civil architect (Master of Architecture). Professional life Following graduation Logi returned to Akureyri, where he worked as a landscape designer at H.J. teiknistofa 1992–94 and for the technical and zoning office at Akureyri municipality 1994–96, before switching back to the private sector where he worked for Form 1996-97, Úti og Inni 1997– 2003 and Arkitektúr.is 2003–04. In late 2003 he founded the architecture and design firm Kollgáta together with industrial designer Ingólfur Freyr Guðmundsson. From 2010–12 he also lectured at Reykjavik University. Social Democratic Alliance
The Social Democratic Alliance ( is, Samfylkingin - jafnaðarflokkur Íslands), officially The Alliance – Iceland's Social Democratic Party, is a social democratic, and pro-European political party in Iceland. The Social Democratic Alliance was founded in 2000 after a merger of four centre-left political parties (the National Awakening, the People's Alliance, the Social Democratic Party and the Women's List) following a joint run by all parties in the 1999 Icelandic parliamentary election. The flute is a family of classical music instrument in the woodwind group. Like all woodwinds, flutes are aerophones, meaning they make sound by vibrating a column of air. However, unlike woodwind instruments with reeds, a flute is a reedless wind instrument that produces its sound from the flow of air across an opening. According to the instrument classification of Hornbostel–Sachs, flutes are categorized as edge-blown aerophones. A musician who plays the flute is called a flautist or flutist. 2016 Icelandic Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Iceland on 29 October 2016. They were due to be held on or before 27 April 2017, but following the 2016 Icelandic anti-government protests, the ruling coalition announced that early elections would be held "in autumn". The Independence Party emerged as the largest in the Althing, winning 21 of the 63 seats; the Progressive Party, which had won the most seats in 2013, lost more than half its seats as it was overtaken by the Left-Green Movement and the Pirate Party. 2009 Icelandic Parliamentary Election
Snap parliamentary elections were held in Iceland on 25 April 2009, following strong pressure from the public as a result of the Icelandic financial crisis. The Social Democratic Alliance and the Left-Green Movement, which formed the outgoing coalition government under Prime Minister Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir, both made gains and formed an overall majority of seats in the Althing (Iceland's parliament). The Progressive Party also made gains, and the new Citizens' Movement, formed after the January 2009 protests, gained four seats. Northeast (Althing Constituency)
Northeast ( is, Norðaustur) is one of the six multi-member constituencies of the Althing, the national legislature of Iceland. The constituency was established as Northeastern ( is, Norðurland eystra) in 1959 following the nationwide extension of proportional representation for elections to the Althing. It was renamed Northeast in 2003 when most of the Eastern constituency was merged into the Northeastern constituency following the re-organisation of constituencies across Iceland. Northeast consists of the regions of Eastern and Northeastern.
