''The Opposite of Love'' ( es, Lo contrario al amor, links=no) is a 2011 Spanish romantic comedy film written and directed by (in his directorial debut feature) which stars Hugo Silva and Adriana Ugarte. Plot The plot tracks the ups and downs in the relationship between firefighter Raúl and massage therapist Merce upon their meeting by chance. Cast Production The film is a Zeta Cinema (Francisco Ramos) and A3 Films (Mercedes Gamero) production. Shooting locations included Madrid. Release The film received a pre-screening at Cine Callao in Madrid on 25 August 2011. Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing de España, it was released theatrically in Spain on 26 August 2011. Reception Jordi Batlle Caminal of '' Fotogramas'' rated the film 3 out of 5 stars, highlighting Lancho's supporting performance as the best thing about the film while negatively assessing the excessively "schematic" plot development. Mercedes Gamero
Mercedes Gamero is a Spanish film producer and the head of Beta Fiction Spain since 2022. From 2009 to 2022, she served as general manager of Antena 3 Films/Atresmedia Cine. Biography She is from Viladecans, Catalonia and the daughter of actor Antonio Gamero. She earned a licentiate degree in German philology and a master's degree in audivisual production from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). Early in her career, she worked for Telemadrid, AXN Canal España, and Sogecable. She joined Grupo Antena 3 (later Atresmedia) in 2004, becoming the CEO of its film production arm Antena 3 Films (later Atresmedia Cine) in 2009. ''Fotogramas'' is Spanish digital and print film magazine which has been in circulation since 1946. It is one of the early film magazines in Spain. History Founded in Barcelona, it was first published on 15 November 1946 by Antonio Nadal-Rodó and MarÃa Fernanda Gañán.
