Spike and Mike's Festival of Animation is a presentation of Award-winning animated short films, annually touring throughout theaters, film festivals or college campuses in the United States. Mike Judge
Michael Craig Judge (born October 17, 1962) is an American actor, animator, writer, producer, director and musician. He is the creator of the animated television series ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' (1993–1997, 2011, 2022–present), and the co-creator of the television series ''King of the Hill'' (1997–2010), ''The Goode Family'' (2009), ''Silicon Valley'' (2014–2019), and '' Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus'' (2017–2018). He wrote and directed the films ''Beavis and Butt-Head Do America'' (1996), ''Office Space'' (1999), ''Idiocracy'' (2006), and ''Extract'' (2009), and co-wrote the screenplay to '' Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe'' (2022). ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' is an American adult animated series created by Mike Judge. The series follows Beavis and Butt-Head, both voiced by Judge, a pair of teenage slackers characterized by their apathy, lack of intelligence, lowbrow humor, and love for hard rock and heavy metal music. The characters originated in Judge's 1992 short film '' Frog Baseball'', which was broadcast by MTV's animation showcase ''Liquid Television''. After MTV commissioned a full series, ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' ran for seven seasons from 1993 to 1997. It was revived with an eighth season aired on MTV in 2011. A second revival, consisting of an initial two-season order, premiered on Paramount+ in 2022. ''Rejected'' is an animated film directed by Don Hertzfeldt that was released in 2000. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film the following year at the 73rd Academy Awards, and received 27 awards from film festivals around the world. Story The film takes place over four segments and is initially introduced as a collection of unaired promo interstitials for the fictional "Family Learning Channel." The "advertisements" are surreal, feature non-human characters, are often gruesome, and have nothing to do with the product. The second section is introduced as a collection of rejected advertisements for the fictional "Johnson & Mills Corporation" and features the same surreal dark and absurd humour as the earlier section.
