Liverpool 1 (TV Series)
''Liverpool 1'' is a British television drama series centred on the work of a fictional Merseyside Police vice squad. Produced by Lime Street Productions for ITV, it starred Samantha Janus and Mark Womack and ran for two series from 7 September 1998 and 25 October 1999. The series represented an early vehicle for Janus' move into mainstream drama roles, following her success in the situation comedy '' Game On''. Despite excellent viewing figures (which never dropped below 6.88m), ITV chose not to re-commission the show after series two. Repeats are intermittently shown on ITV3. The complete series was released on DVD for the first time on 15 August 2016. Plot ''Liverpool 1'' focuses on Detective Constable Isobel De Pauli (Samantha Janus), a successful Metropolitan Police detective. Crime fiction, detective story, murder mystery, mystery novel, and police novel are terms used to describe narratives that centre on criminal acts and especially on the investigation, either by an amateur or a professional detective, of a crime, often a murder. Tristan Sturrock
Tristan Sturrock (born 1967) is a British theatre, television and film actor. He has worked with the theatre company Kneehigh for 30 years. He played the role of Zacky Martin in ''Poldark'' in all five seasons, which aired from 2015 to 2019 in the UK. He has performed in many productions including ''Brief Encounter'' on Broadway and ''Mayday, Mayday'', an autobiographical solo project which he wrote and performed internationally. Early life and career Tristan Sturrock was born in 1967 and raised Upton Cross, Cornwall. Sturrock's career commenced in theatre in 1986 when he joined the international touring theatre group, Truro-based Kneehigh Theatre. Christine Tremarco (born 1977) is a British television actress whose career began in 1992. She is best known for portraying the role of Davina Shackleton in the BBC One school-based drama series '' Waterloo Road'' (2007–2009) and also in BBC One medical drama series ''Casualty'' (2010-2013) as Linda Andrews. Patrick O'Kane is an Irish actor who was born in 1965 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He has been part of the companies of the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester.
