Intruder (metal Band)
Intruder is an American thrash metal band from Nashville, Tennessee. Formerly known as "Transgresser", the group began as a four-piece cover band. They saw the addition of rhythm guitarist Greg Messick after signing with Metal Blade Records. Intruder released three full-length albums and one EP from 1987 to 1991 before splitting up in 1992. Since then, the band has reunited several times to play live shows. History The band was originally formed in 1984 under the name "Transgresser". They released demos in 1984 and 1986 (which would later appear on a re-release of their debut album). After going through several name changes they became known as "Intruder". They released their debut album '' Live to Die'' in 1987 as a four-piece band in the speed metal vein. The band signed with Metal Blade Records in 1989. Speed metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that originated in the late 1970s from new wave of British heavy metal (NWOBHM) roots.K. Ironworks (record Label)
Ironworks was an independent record label created and owned by the actor Kiefer Sutherland, and his long-time friend and fellow musician, Jude Cole. The studio's first signed band, whom it is also known for, is Rocco DeLuca's band, Rocco DeLuca and the Burden. ''A Higher Form of Killing'' is the second studio album by the metal band, Intruder. It marks their departure from the speed metal sound displayed on their previous album in favor of a thrash metal sound. Unlike their previous album which was recorded as a four-piece band, this album was recorded as a quintet with the addition of Greg Messick on rhythm guitar. It was originally released in 1989 by Metal Blade and Roadrunner Records, but was reissued on Lost and Found Records in 2005, limited to 1,000 copies. Its title is taken from a quotation from Fritz Haber about the use of poison gas in warfare.
