''Live in San Francisco'' is a live album by the American garage rock band Thee Oh Sees, released on July 1, 2016, as part of the ''Live in San Francisco'' series by Castle Face Records. The vinyl release is accompanied by a DVD of the performances, filmed by Brian Lee Hughes. The album was recorded over three nights in July 2015 at The chapel, in San Francisco, during the band's tour in support of its sixteenth studio album, '' Mutilator Defeated at Last'', and marks the first release to feature drummers Ryan Moutinho and Dan Rincon. Thee Oh Sees
Osees are an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 1997, now based in Los Angeles, California. The band currently consists of primary songwriter and core member John Dwyer (vocals, guitar), Tim Hellman (bass), Dan Rincon (drums), Paul Quattrone (drums) and Tomas Dolas (keyboards). Osees sound incorporates a wide range of rock genres, including 1960s garage rock and psychedelic rock, punk rock, noise rock, art punk, and 1980s post-punk. ''Floating Coffin'' is a studio album by the American garage rock band Thee Oh Sees, released on April 16, 2013, on Castle Face Records. The album is the band's eighth to be released under the name Thee Oh Sees, and their fourteenth studio album overall. It is the last studio album to feature bassist Petey Dammit! and drummer Mike Shoun. Background Frontman John Dwyer described the album as being "heavier" and "darker" than their previous efforts, and that " hesongs occur in the mindset of a world that's perpetually war-ridden". ''Carrion Crawler/The Dream'' is the twelfth studio album by San Francisco-based garage rock band Thee Oh Sees. It was released on November 8, 2011, by In the Red Records. Despite the running time of the album being comparable or greater than most of their other full-length releases, the vinyl editions state that it is an EP. Background Petey Dammit, the band's bassist, claimed that the album "was completely recorded live. 1, 2, 3, press record, go." Brigid Dawson stated that it was recorded over a five-day period. Chris Woodhouse, a frequent collaborator and mix engineer for the band, recorded the album at The Hangar recording studio in Sacramento, CA.
