''Live in London'' is the first extended play by Australian hard rockers, Johnny Diesel and the Injectors. The four tracks were recorded live in May 1989 and released in July of that year via Chrysalis Records and EMI Music. The group were touring the United Kingdom in mid-1989 and broadcast a live performance, via BBC Radio 1, for the '' Tommy Vance Sessions'', which was produced by Tony Wilson. The EP reached No. 27 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Three of the tracks appear on their previous studio album, ''Johnny Diesel and the Injectors'', (March 1989). While "Rat Pack" was a new track. Johnny Diesel
Mark Denis Lizotte (born 31 May 1966) is an American-born Australian singer-songwriter and musician, who has released material under the name Diesel, Johnny Diesel, as leader of band Johnny Diesel & the Injectors, and as a solo performer, as well as under his Name at birth, birth name. Two of his albums reached No. 1 on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) ARIA Charts, Albums Charts, ''Hepfidelity'' in 1992 and ''The Lobbyist'' in 1993. Since 1987, Lizotte, has played on several albums by his brother-in law, Australian rock singer, Jimmy Barnes. Although better known as a singer-songwriter and guitarist, Lizotte is also competent on bass guitar, drums, percussion and keyboards; and has also produced an album by Richard Clapton and one by Vika and Linda, Vika and Linda Bull. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. The charts are a record of the highest selling songs and albums in various genres in Australia. St Leonards, New South Wales
St Leonards is a suburb on the lower North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Richard Anthony Crispian Francis Prew Hope-Weston (11 July 1940 – 6 March 2005), known professionally as Tommy Vance, was an English radio broadcaster. He was an important factor in the rise of the new wave of British heavy metal (NWOBHM), along with London-based disc jockey Neal Kay, in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Vance was one of the first radio hosts in the United Kingdom to broadcast hard rock and heavy metal in the early 1980s, providing the only national radio forum for both bands and fans. ''Hepfidelity'' is the second studio album by Australian singer/songwriter Diesel. The album was released in March 1992 through Chrysalis Records and EMI Records, and held the number-one spot on the ARIA Albums Chart for four weeks. It included the singles " Love Junk", " Come to Me", " Tip of My Tongue", " Man Alive" and " One More Time". The album was certified 3× platinum in Australia.
