Live in Denmark is a live EP released by Christian Rock band, Disciple. It showcases several highlights from Disciple's performance on May 13, 2016 at Denmark's annual RiverFest event. Disciple (band)
Disciple is an American Christian metal and rock band from Knoxville, Tennessee, formed in 1992. Since its formation, the band has released 12 studio albums, 3 extended plays, 1 live extended play, and 1 compilation album. History Early releases (1992–1998) Disciple was formed in December 1992 by high school friends Kevin Young, Brad Noah, Adrian DiTommasi and Tim Barrett. The band played its first show in May 1993 at Topside Church of God in Louisville, TN and recorded its first three-song demo at Nightsong Studios with Producer Jesse Jones. Adrian DiTommasi left the band shortly after that for personal reasons, and Kevin Young would eventually take over the bass guitar duties. Later that year, Disciple recorded its first full length recording titled ''Trail of Tears'' at Nightsong Studios with Jesse Jones which was a cassette-only independent release. In an interview, lead singer Kevin Young stated that the song "Bring the Dead to Life" was written by Jason Wilkes. The story behind the song was that Wilkes' friend saw his former band's deceased drummer, Scotty Lockridge, in her dream. Wilkes went on to write this song, dedicating it to Lockridge. ''Long Live the Rebels'' is the eleventh studio album of the Christian rock band, Disciple, released on October 14, 2016. Background Following the success of Attack's Kickstarter campaign, the band raised over double their initial fundraising goal in the Kickstarter for this album. The album was released on October 14, 2016. Two songs, "Erase" and "Underdog Fight Song", were released to backers when the campaign ended, and the first single, "God Is With Us" is set to be released to radio on October 24, 2016. Critical reception Matt Conner of CCM Magazine gave the album 3.5 stars out of 5, stating that the "melodic metal set sounds as tight as anything in the band’s catalog."
