Live From Tokyo (EP)
''Live from Tokyo'' is a live EP by Japanese band Superfly, performed at the Shibuya Apple Store on June 6, 2007, and then released exclusively to the iTunes Store on June 27. It was one of the earliest ''Live from Tokyo'' albums released to the iTunes Store in Japan. It consists of covers of four rock songs from the late 1960s and early 1970s. The tracks (except for "Heart of Gold") were subsequently released as B-sides to the group's single "Hi-Five Hi-Five is an American R&B quintet from Waco, Texas. Hi-Five had a No. 1 hit on ''Billboards Hot 100 in 1991 with "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)". The band was formed in 1989 and consisted of founding and original members: Tony Thomps ...". Superfly (band)
Superfly is a Japanese rock act that debuted on April 4, 2007. Formerly a duo, the act now consists solely of lyricist and vocalist Shiho Ochi with former guitarist Kōichi Tabo still credited as the group's composer and part-time lyricist. Superfly's first two studio albums were certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, and their first four consecutive albums (the third being classified as a "single" by the group) all debuted at the top of the Oricon Weekly Album Charts, a first for a female recording artist in Japan in over seven years. History 2003–2006: Formation met in 2003 while they were students at Matsuyama University. They were both members of a music circle that covered songs by Finger 5 and the Rolling Stones. Heart Of Gold (Neil Young Song)
"Heart of Gold" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young. From his fourth album ''Harvest'', it is Young's only U.S. No. 1 single. In Canada, it reached No. 1 on the ''RPM'' national singles chart for the first time on April 8, 1972, on which date Young held the top spot on both the singles and albums charts. ''Billboard'' ranked it as the No. 17 song for 1972. In 2004, ''Rolling Stone'' ranked it No. 297 on their list of the 500 greatest songs of all time, No. 303 in an updated 2010 list, and No. 259 in 2021. Description The song, which features backup vocals by James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt, is one of a series of soft acoustic pieces which were written partly as a result of a back injury. Unable to stand for long periods of time, Young could not play his electric guitar and so returned to his acoustic guitar, which he could play sitting down. The Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. With five number-one singles and six number-one albums, six Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s in North America. Founding members Glenn Frey (guitars, vocals), Don Henley (drums, vocals), Bernie Leadon (guitars, vocals), and Randy Meisner (bass guitar, vocals) were recruited by Linda Ronstadt as band members, some touring with her, and all playing on her third solo album, before venturing out on their own on David Geffen's new Asylum Records label. Don Henley
Donald Hugh Henley (born July 22, 1947) is an American musician and a founding member of the rock band Eagles. He is the drummer and one of the lead singers for the Eagles. Henley sang the lead vocals on Eagles hits such as "Witchy Woman", "Desperado", " Best of My Love", "One of These Nights", "Hotel California", "Life in the Fast Lane", " The Long Run" and " Get Over It". Glenn Frey
Glenn Lewis Frey (; November 6, 1948 – January 18, 2016) was an American singer, guitarist and a founding member of the rock band Eagles. Frey was the co-lead singer and frontman for the Eagles, roles he came to share with fellow member Don Henley, with whom he wrote most of the Eagles' material. Frey played guitar and keyboards as well as singing lead vocals on songs such as "Take It Easy", "Peaceful Easy Feeling", " Tequila Sunrise", " Already Gone", " James Dean", "Lyin' Eyes", "New Kid in Town", and "Heartache Tonight". Desperado (Eagles Song)
"Desperado" is a power ballad by the American rock band the Eagles. The track was written by Glenn Frey and Don Henley and appeared on the 1973 album ''Desperado'' as well as numerous compilation albums. Although it was never released as a single, it became one of Eagles' best-known songs. It ranked No. 494 on ''Rolling Stone''s 2004 list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". Composition According to Henley, "Desperado" was based on a song he started in 1968, written in the style of old songs by Stephen Foster.
