''Live at the Paradiso – Amsterdam'' is Live's first live concert album and DVD. History The DVD and CD were recorded over two nights at the Paradiso in Amsterdam. Two studio recordings, "Forever" and "Purifier" are included on the album. Singer Ed Kowalczyk said of them, "Both songs kind of have this urgency about them, where we almost missed our deadlines. You can feel the urgency and the energy of the session in the songs". Despite the fact that the band was on the verge of breaking up, guitarist Chad Taylor was pleased with the DVD. Live (, often typeset as LĪVE or +LĪVE+) is an American rock band formed in York, Pennsylvania, in 1984 by Ed Kowalczyk (lead vocals, guitars), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass), Chad Gracey (drums), and Chad Taylor (guitars). Kowalczyk is the only remaining member of this original lineup. The band started to gain attention following their single "Operation Spirit (The Tyranny of Tradition)", the video for which got regular airplay on MTV, and the moderate success of their second album, ''Mental Jewelry''. "Lightning Crashes" is a song by American rock band Live. It was released in September 1994 as the third single from their second studio album, '' Throwing Copper''. Although the track was not released as a single in the United States, it received enough radio airplay to peak at 12 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 Airplay chart in 1995. Adam E. Kowalczyk (born September 27, 1975) is an American musician. He is the brother of Ed Kowalczyk, lead singer of the band Live. Biography Kowalczyk was born in York, Pennsylvania to a family of Polish descent. He began learning the guitar at age 12.
