''Live at the 100 Club'' is the second EP from Welsh band The Automatic. The EP was recorded at London's 100 Club by Coca-Cola and iTunes and is available exclusively through iTunes. On the night the band also played a number of other songs including "Gold Digger" and " Recover". History The initial 100 Club gig was pinned as the celebration gig for Coca-Cola's opening of their new website ''www.music.coca-cola.com'', 300 fans were given the chance to go to the gig, through purchasing a ticket, and winning tickets through various competitions. ''This Is A Fix'' is the second album by Wales-based band The Automatic. It was released on 25 August 2008. The band worked with producer Don Gilmore in Los Angeles, but were disappointed with these sessions, and instead worked with Butch Walker at Sage and Sound Recording in Los Angeles then back in Cardiff with Richard Jackson and London with Stephen Harris (producer), Stephen Harris. The Automatic began work in 2006 on the follow-up to previous album ''Not Accepted Anywhere'', however after the departure of Alex Pennie and addition of Paul Mullen, the completed recordings of such songs as "Steve McQueen" and "Revolution" - which featured Pennie providing synths and vocals - were shelved and later re-recorded with Mullen. "Raoul" is both the second and the fifth single from ''Not Accepted Anywhere'', the first album by the Welsh band The Automatic. The single was released twice, first on 27 March 2006 and again on 8 January 2007 at the decision of the band's record labels Polydor and B-Unique. Composition The song's lyrics deal with people's day-to-day lives – getting stuck in the same routines and casting aside ambitions. Raoul, a sandwich shop owner in Cardiff, was where the band went during days spent in their studio to get away from this drill. The 100 Club is a music venue located at 100 Oxford Street, London, England, where it has been hosting live music since 24 October 1942. It was originally called the Feldman Swing Club, but changed its name when the father of the current owner took over in 1964. Feldman Swing Club In 1942, the venue was a restaurant called Macks, which was hired out beginning 24 October every Sunday evening by Robert Feldman at £4 per night to host a jazz club featuring swing music. The Automatic (also known as The Automatic Automatic in the U.S.) was a Welsh rock band. The band's last-known lineup was composed of Robin Hawkins on vocals, bass and synthesisers, James Frost on guitar, synthesisers, backing vocals and occasional bass, Iwan Griffiths on drums and Paul Mullen on vocals, guitar and synthesiser.
