Liublynets
Liublynets ( uk, Люблинець, pl, Lubliniec) is an urban-type settlement in Kovel Raion of Volyn Oblast in Ukraine. It is essentially a suburb of the city of Kovel and is located approximately southwest of the city. Population: Economy Transportation Liublynets-Volynskyi railway station is on the railway connecting Lviv via Volodymyr with Kovel. There is infrequent passenger traffic. The settlement is connected by road with Kovel and Volodymyr. Volyn Oblast
Volyn Oblast ( uk, Воли́нська о́бласть, translit=Volýnsʹka óblastʹ; also referred to as Volyn or Lodomeria) is an oblast (province) in northwestern Ukraine. Its administrative centre is Lutsk. Highway M07 (Ukraine)
Highway M07 is a Ukrainian international highway ( M-highway) connecting Kyiv to Yahodyn on the border with Poland, where it continues into Poland as National Road 12 ( DK12). Kovel
Kovel (, ; pl, Kowel; yi, קאוולע / קאוולי ) is a city in Volyn Oblast (province), in northwestern Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of Kovel Raion (district). Population: Kovel gives its name to one of the oldest runic inscriptions which were lost during World War II. The Kovel spearhead, unearthed near the town in 1858, contained text in Gothic. History The name Kovel comes from a Slavonic word for blacksmith hence the horseshoe on the town's coat of arms. The rune-inscribed Spearhead of Kovel was found near Kovel in 1858.
