European Hockey Federation
The European Hockey Federation is a European sports federation for field hockey, based in Brussels. It is the umbrella organisation for all European national federations, and organises the Euro Hockey League. Marijke Fleuren was elected president on 22 August 2011. In reaction to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the European Hockey Federation banned the participation of all Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials from all events sanctioned by the Federation. 2011 Women's EuroHockey Championship III
The 2011 Women's EuroHockey Championship III was the fourth edition of the Women's EuroHockey Championship III, the third level of the women's European field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held in Vienna, Austria from 25 to 31 July 2011. Lithuania won its first EuroHockey Championship III title and were promoted to the 2013 EuroHockey Championship II together with the hosts Austria. 2018–19 Women's Hockey Series
The 2018–19 Women's Hockey Series was the inaugural season of the Hockey Series, a field hockey championship for women's national teams. The tournament started in June 2018 and finished in June 2019. Format The Hockey Series was open to national teams that were not playing in the Pro League. The Hockey Series took place in two rounds, the Open and the Finals. The nine highest-ranked teams in the FIH World Rankings (as of 9 June 2017) skipped the Open and advanced directly to the Finals. All other national teams played in the Hockey Series Open, which features six regional events with up to six teams each. Fifteen teams qualified from the Hockey Series Open to the Hockey Series Finals, for a total of 24 teams in the Finals. Those teams played in three events, with eight teams per event (three automatic qualifiers and five that advanced from the Open). The 2016–17 Women's FIH Hockey World League was the third edition of the women's field hockey national team league series and last season of the World League. The tournament started in April 2016 in Singapore and finished in November 2017 in Auckland, New Zealand. The Semifinals of this competition also served as a qualifier for the 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup as the 10/11 highest placed teams apart from the host nation and the five continental champions qualify. The Netherlands won the tournament's Final round for a record second time after defeating host nation New Zealand 3–0 in the final match. The 2019 Women's EuroHockey Championship III was the eight edition of the Women's EuroHockey Championship III, the third tier of the women's European field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation. The 2023 Women's EuroHockey Championship II was the tenth edition of the Women's EuroHockey Championship II, the second level of the women's European field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 30 July to 5 August 2023 in Prague, Czechia. The top two teams aside from France and Wales qualified for the 2024 Women's FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers.
