Lithuanian broadcaster LRT announced their participation for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in August 2010. The National Final, "Vaiku Eurovizija" chose Bartas, the 14‑year-old singer to represent Lithuania in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Before Junior Eurovision Vaikų Eurovizijos nacionalinė atranka The national selection show ''Vaikų Eurovizijos nacionalinė atranka'' consisted of two semi-finals held on 12 and 19 September 2010 and a final held on 26 September 2010. The results of the semi-finals were determined by a 50/50 combination of votes from a jury panel and public televoting. In the final, the winner was chosen in two rounds of voting - the first to select the top three by the 50/50 combination of jury voting and public televoting, and the second to select the winner by the jury. Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was the eighth edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest and took place in Minsk, Belarus. It was held on 20 November 2010. The contest was won by Vladimir Arzumanyan from Armenia with the song Mama. This gave Armenia its first Junior Eurovision victory and its first victory in any Eurovision contest. Location The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) invited broadcasters to bid for the rights to host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Belarus broadcaster National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus (BRTC) won the rights to organise the contest over bids from Russia and Malta. Under construction through 2009, the 15,000-spectator Minsk-Arena hosted the event. Lithuania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest (known in Lithuania as ''Eurovizijos dainų konkursas'') 22 times since its debut in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas finished last, receiving "nul points". Lithuania withdrew from the contest, not returning until 1999. LT United's sixth place in with the song "We Are the Winners" is Lithuania's best result in the contest. The country reached the top ten for a second time in , when Donny Montell finished ninth with " I've Been Waiting for This Night", and for the third time in 2021, finishing eighth with The Roop and "Discoteque".
