Agbokim Waterfalls
Agbokim waterfalls are situated in the Etung local government area of Cross River State in the South-South (Niger delta) region of Nigeria, very close to its border with Cameroon. The waterfalls are about from Ikom and from Calabar. Isaac Boro Park
Isaac Boro Park is a public park and outdoor recreation area located along the Old GRA neighborhood of Rivers State capital, Port Harcourt. The park is named after Isaac Boro, who was one of the pioneers of minority rights activism in Nigeria. The geographical coordinates of the park are: 4°47'16"N (4.787960), 7°0'19"E (7.005517). Situated just opposite the Mile One Flyover, Isaac Boro Park is home to baseball and softball in Port Harcourt. On numerous occasions between 2006 and 2013, the park hosted the annual international trade fair and continues to serve as venue for memorable events such as the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, the Workers' Day and the National Youth Service send-off parade ceremonies. The Ngwo Pine Forest a pine forest near the center of Enugu Enugu ( ; ) is the capital city of Enugu State in Nigeria. It is located in southeastern part of Nigeria. The city had a population of 820,000 according to the 2022 Nigerian census. The name ''Enugu'' is derived from the two Igbo words ''Énú .... New Afrika Shrine
The New Afrika Shrine is an open air entertainment centre located in Ikeja, Lagos State. It serves as the host location of the annual Felabration music festival. Currently managed by Femi Kuti (eldest son of Fela Kuti) and Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti, it is the replacement of the old Afrika Shrine created in 1970 by Fela Kuti until it was burnt down in 1977. The New Afrika Shrine showcases photo galleries of Fela and music performances by Femi Kuti and Seun Kuti thus making it a tourist attraction. Moshood Abiola National Stadium
Moshood Abiola National Stadium (formerly known as National Stadium, Abuja) is a multipurpose national sports stadium located in Abuja, in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. The stadium serves as a home to the Nigerian national football team, as well as a center for various social, cultural, and religious events. The Federal Government of Nigeria approved the contract for the construction of the National Stadium complex and Games Village on 18 July 2000. National War Museum, Umuahia
The Nigerian National War Museum in Umuahia showcases the military history of Nigeria with relics form the Biafra-Nigerian Civil War. It has a collection of tanks, armored vehicles, ships, and aircraft all from Nigeria or the defunct Republic of Biafra. Almost all tanks and AFLs are Biafran and all aircraft are Nigerian. It holds in it the evidence of the internal war in Nigeria from 1967 to 1970. The museum is considered a heritage site. Mount Patti
The Mount Patti Hill is a 1503 foot-tall (458 m) mountain and tourist attraction in Lokoja, Nigeria. It is famous for being the place where British journalist and writer Flora Louise Shaw (later Flora Lugard) gave Nigeria its name. The name (Nigeria) was coined by Flora Shaw in 1914 when looking at Lokoja from top of The Mount Patti. It came into her mind because of the view of the Niger River and Benue, 6 kilometers away from the Mount. In an essay that first appeared in ''The Times'' on 8 January 1897, Shaw suggested the name Nigeria for the British Protectorate on the Niger River. In her essay, Shaw made the case for a shorter-term that would be used for the "agglomeration of pagan and Mohammedan States" to replace the official title, " Royal Niger Company Territories". Millennium Park (Abuja)
The Millennium Park is the largest public park of Abuja, the capital of Nigeria and is located in the Maitama district of the city. The Millennium Park was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II on 4 December 2003. It is near the former Presidential Palace close to the nucleus of presidential and administrative buildings of the city. A river crosses the Park in its main rectilinear axis, dividing it into two parts. One side on the Park is dedicated to uncontaminated nature. In a system of terraces at different levels are located Nigeria's mountain vegetation, savanna, deciduous forest, rainforest and brushwood as well as greenhouses for butterflies and tropical birds. Mandara Mountains
The Mandara Mountains are a volcanic range extending about 190 km (about 120 mi) along the northern part of the Cameroon–Nigeria border, from the Benue River in the south () to the north-west of Maroua in the north (). Lake Chad (french: Lac Tchad) is a historically large, shallow, endorheic lake in Central Africa, which has varied in size over the centuries.
