In music, a single is a type of release, typically a song recording of fewer tracks than an LP record or an album. One can be released for sale to the public in a variety of formats. It is a deep house rework of "The Fade Out Line", an original song by Australian band Phoebe Killdeer & the Short Straws from their 2011 album ''Innerquake''. It was written by Phoebe Killdeer, composed by Cédric Le Roux and Archive singer Craig Walker, and produced by The Avener. "The Nights" is a song by Swedish DJ and record producer Avicii, featuring vocals from singer/songwriter Nicholas Furlong. On 1 December 2014, it was released as a digital download by PRMD Music and Universal Island on Avicii's '' The Days / Nights EP'', then on 11 January 2015 in the United Kingdom. The song peaked at number six on the UK Singles Chart and number one on the UK Dance Chart. On 23 January 2015, Avicii released "The Nights (Avicii by Avicii)", his own remix of the song. Haim ( ; meaning "life" in Hebrew, stylized HAIM) is an American rock band, based in Los Angeles and comprising three sisters, Este (bass guitar and vocals), Danielle (lead vocals, guitar, and drums), and Alana Haim (guitars, keyboards, and vocals).
