This is a list of television networks and stations in Indonesia. For 27 years, Indonesians could only watch one television channel TVRI. In 1989, the government finally allowed RCTI to broadcast as the first private television network in Indonesia, although only people who have a satellite dish and decoder could watch. TVRI
TVRI (, Television of the Republic of Indonesia), legally ( Public Broadcasting Institution Television of the Republic of Indonesia) is a public television network and the oldest television network in Indonesia. Its national headquarters is in Gelora, Central Jakarta. TVRI monopolized television broadcasting in Indonesia until 24 August 1989, when the first commercial television station RCTI went on the air. Alongside RRI, TVRI was converted into a public broadcaster on 18 March 2005, becoming the first public broadcaster in the country. TVRI currently broadcasts throughout the country with both analog and digital means of broadcast. Trans7 (pronounced ''Trans Tujuh'' in Indonesian, formerly known as TV7) is an Indonesian free-to-air television network owned by Trans Media, a part of Trans Corp, which in turn a subsidiary of CT Corp. For the first time, Trans7 was the official broadcaster of 2018 FIFA World Cup together with the sister channel Trans TV, also with Telkom Indonesia, K-Vision and MNC Media (MNC Vision only). Trans7 had broadcast 8 group-stage matches as well as shared broadcasting of quarterfinal, semifinal, 3rd place playoff, and final matches from Trans TV, also from UseeTV (now IndiHome TV), K-Vision, and MNC Sports. Metro TV (Indonesian TV Network)
Metro TV is an Indonesian free-to-air television news network based in West Jakarta. It was established on 25 November 2000 and now has over 52 relay stations all over the country. It is owned by Surya Paloh who also owns the ''Media Indonesia'' daily. These two, along with other newspapers distributed in different parts of Indonesia, are part of the Media Group. TvOne (Indonesian TV Network)
tvOne (Formerly known as Lativi) is an Indonesian free-to-air television network based in East Jakarta. tvOne is owned by Visi Media Asia, a unit of Bakrie Group. As Lativi, The channel was launched as a test broadcast on 17 January 2002 at 4:00 PM local time, and was officially launched on 30 July 2002 at 7:00 PM. The final transmission and broadcast aired on 14 February 2008 at 19:30 WIB. The network was then sold by Abdul Latief in 2007 and the new owners changed the name from Lativi to TvOne. Moji (TV Network)
Moji, stylized as mOȷı, previously known as O Channel, is an Indonesian free-to-air television network founded by Elang Mahkota Teknologi and MRA Media. MRA Media sold its stake in O Channel on 2007. Initially broadcasts as a local station in Jakarta, it broadcasts from 24 hours, 7 days a week. Since 2020, Moji has increasingly established itself to broadcast nationally through digital television on SCM's multiplexing channel ( SCTV or Indosiar), while increasing broadcast programs (especially sports programming) and slowly reducing home shopping programming. The channel is also available through analogue signals in cities where O Channel was available, such as in Banten and Bandung (the latter originally through Garuda Vision, another local broadcaster from 2012 until 2021).
