This is a list of sportspeople who have moved to compete for another country. Not included in this list are: *Players who could choose to play for a new country after the dissolution of their former country. This mainly affected players from the former Soviet Union, such as Viktor Onopko, and the former Yugoslavia, such as Davor Šuker. *Players who represented the country they moved to in childhood. Frequently, the home countries of such players are former colonies of their future countries (such as Patrick Vieira, born in Senegal but moved to France in childhood). Viktor Onopko
Viktor Savelyevich Onopko (russian: link=no, Виктор Савельевич Онопко; born 14 October 1969) is a Russian football coach and a former defender of Ukrainian origin. He is an assistant coach with FC Rostov and the Russia national football team. He held the record for most international appearances for the Russian national team until 8 September 2015, when he was overtaken by Sergei Ignashevich. United States Men's National Soccer Team
The United States men's national soccer team (USMNT) represents the United States in men's international soccer competitions. The team is controlled by the United States Soccer Federation and is a member of FIFA and CONCACAF. Isaac Boss
Isaac Boss (born 9 April 1980, in Tokoroa, New Zealand) is a New Zealand–born Irish rugby union former player. His grandmother was born in Glenarm, County Antrim, thereby qualifying him to play for Ireland. He played scrum-half or fullback and has played for Leinster, Ulster and the Ireland national team. He weighs 88 kg and is 1.78 m tall. He is the only player to play over 100 games for two different Irish provinces. Boss retired from professional rugby after the 2016 Pro14 season with Leinster, returning home to New Zealand. Diego Domínguez (rugby Union)
Diego Dominguez (born 25 April 1966 in Córdoba, Argentina) is a former Argentine rugby union fly-half who played for Argentina and Italy, winning 74 caps for the latter. In 1988, Dominguez toured France with the Argentine national team, and in 1989 he scored 27 points in two games for Argentina against Chile and Paraguay. Because of the little opportunities, he decided that he would turn to Italy, his grandmother's homeland. After the tour with Argentina, he played for a year in France, and then moved to Milan in Italy. Dominguez then made his Italian debut in March 1991 against France. The England national under-21 football team, also known as England under-21s or England U21(s), is considered to be the feeder team for the England national football team. This team is for England players aged under 21 at the start of the calendar year in which a two-year European Under-21 Football Championship campaign begins, so some players can remain with the squad until the age of 23.
