The New York State Education Department (NYSED) divides the state into nine Joint Management Team (JMT) Regions, excluding New York City. Each JMT contains one or more Regional Information Centers (RIC), which contain one or more Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), and each BOCES supports several school districts. The New York State Education Department (NYSED) is the department of the New York state government responsible for the supervision for all public schools in New York and all standardized testing, as well as the production and administration of state tests and Regents Examinations. Allegany County is a County (United States), county in the Southern Tier of the U.S. state of New York (state), New York. As of the United States Census 2020, 2020 census, the population was 46,456. Its county seat is Belmont, New York, Belmont.
