XEIZ-AM
XEIZ-AM is a radio station on 1230 AM in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Mexico. It carries Radio Fórmula programming. History XEIZ received its concession on November 10, 1967. Originally owned by Jesús Dionisio González González and Francisco Antonio González Sánchez of Multimedios Radio, XEIZ broadcast on 1310, then 1240 kHz with 1,000 watts during the day and 250 at night. In 2000, González Sánchez became the sole concessionaire after Jesús died in 1997. XEIZ was then sold to Radio Fórmula. XHCHL-FM is a radio station on 90.1 FM serving Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. It is owned by and known as . The transmitter is located atop Sierra Papagayos. History XHCHL received its concession on November 23, 1994. XHCHL was authorized to broadcast with 15,000 (later 20,000) watts on 99.1 MHz from China, Nuevo León. XHWAG-FM is a radio station on 88.5 FM in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. It is owned by Radiópolis and carries its Los 40 format. XHJM-FM
XHJM-FM is a radio station on 88.1 FM in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The station is operated by MVS Radio and carries its Globo romantic format. History XEJM-AM 1450 received its concession on January 29, 1957. It was owned by the Garza family doing business as Radio Regiomontana, S.A. and originally was "Joyas Musicales", Monterrey's classical music station and sister to XET-AM 990. Other musical genres began to appear on the station as the 1960s began, and in 1963, XEJM ended its classical phase. XEJM was sold to a Multimedios Radio concessionaire in 2004. The concessionaire changed to Radio Contenidos in 2011. During much of this time, the station served as an AM simulcast of XET-FM 94.1. XESTN-AM ( 1540 AM, "Universal") is a Spanish-language radio station in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. It relays programming from XHRED-FM 88.1 in Mexico City. 1540 AM is a United States clear-channel frequency. History The first concession for XESTN was awarded on November 29, 1988, to Jesús D. González González of Grupo Multimedios. The station was originally daytime-only and licensed to Santa Catarina. It was transferred in 2000 to Radio Red, S.A. de C.V., though Radio Red programs had been airing on XESTN since at least 1994. In 2009, the station increased its daytime power to 5,000 watts. On January 14, 2019, concurrent with a major reshuffling and the relaunch of XERC-FM Mexico City as talk station "Radio Centro 97.7", XESTN and XEDKR-AM Guadalajara began simulcasting that station instead of Radio Red.
