Protected Area
Protected areas or conservation areas are locations which receive protection because of their recognized natural or cultural values. Protected areas are those areas in which human presence or the exploitation of natural resources (e.g. firewood, non-timber forest products, water, ...) is limited. The term "protected area" also includes marine protected areas and transboundary protected areas across multiple borders. As of 2016, there are over 161,000 protected areas representing about 17 percent of the world's land surface area (excluding Antarctica). For waters under national jurisdiction beyond inland waters, there are 14,688 Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), covering approximately 10.2% of coastal and marine areas and 4.12% of global ocean areas. In contrast, only 0.25% of the world's oceans beyond national jurisdiction are covered by MPAs. Khlong Lan National Park
Khlong Lan National Park (Thai alphabet, Thai อุทยานแห่งชาติคลองลาน) is a List of national parks of Thailand, national park in Thailand. Description Khlong Lan National Park is situated in the Dawna Range, Dawna Mountain Range. This park lies in Amphoe Khlong Lan, Khlong Lan and Amphoe Mueang Kamphaeng Phet, Mueang Kamphaeng Phet districts of Kamphaeng Phet Province, the Lower north of Thailand and occupies 187,500 rai ~ . The park is rugged and hilly along the Dawna Range, and is covered by fertile forest. Each mountain connects to Khun Khlong Lan, the highest peak at above sea level. It's the origin of Khlong Khlung and Khlong Suan Mak, the tributaries of the Ping River. The famous places in the park are Khlong Lan and Khlong Nam Lai Waterfalls. Mae Phang National Park
Mae (stylized mae) is an American rock band that formed in Norfolk, Virginia in 2001. The band's name is an acronym for "Multisensory Aesthetic Experience", based on a course taken by drummer Jacob Marshall while a student at Old Dominion University. History Early years with Tooth and Nail (2001–2006) Jacob Marshall and Dave Elkins began what would become Mae by writing their first song, "Embers and Envelopes", in Marshall's living room. The band signed with Tooth and Nail Records and released their first album, '' Destination: Beautiful'', in 2003. They released their second full-length album, '' The Everglow'', in 2005. Mae Charim National Park
Mae Charim National Park (), also known as Mae Jarim, is a protected area in the Luang Prabang Range, Nan Province, Northern Thailand. The Wa River, a popular river for white water rafting between July and December, flows through the park area. The park was established on 6 July 2007 with an area of 270,000 rai ~ . Lam Nam Kok National Park (, ) is a national park in upper northern Thailand's Chiang Rai province. The national park covers an area of and was planted in 2002, occupies an area of four districts of Chiang Rai including Mueang Chiang Rai, Mae Chan, Mae Lao and Mae Suai. Khun Phawo National Park () is a national park in the Mae Ramat District, Tak Province, Thailand. Geography The national park, with an area of 247,957 rai ~ consists of mountains of 350–905 metres elevation. Khun Nan National Park
Khun Nan National Park () is a protected area on the western side of the Luang Prabang Range in the Thailand-Laos border area, on the Thai side of the ridge. It is named after Khun Nan subdistrict (tambon) of Chaloem Phra Kiat District of Nan Province and includes parts located in Bo Kluea District. The park is located north of the Doi Phu Kha National Park and was established in 2009 with an area of 153,982 rai ~ . Khun Nan National Park is part of the Luang Prabang montane rain forests ecoregion. Sapan Waterfall, located near the Lao border, is the most important waterfall in the park; Huai Ha waterfall runs throughout the year.
