Venevisión
Venevisión () is a Venezuelan free-to-air television channel and one of Venezuela's largest television networks, owned by the Cisneros Media division of Grupo Cisneros. History The company's roots date back to June 1, 1953, with the establishment of Televisora Mirandina Independiente S.A, (Televisa), which operated the channel 4 in Caracas and channel 5 in Maracaibo. When TELEVISA went bankrupt in 1960, Diego Cisneros purchased the remaining assets of the company. On February 27, 1961, Venevisión (a portmanteau based on ''Velvet de Venezuela - Televisión'') was officially inaugurated with a special inaugural on March 1, 1961, show in which thousands of people attended, and took place in the station's parking lot. Venevisión began with a capital of 5,500,000 bolívares and 150 employees including artists, administrators, and technical personnel. ''Mi ex me tiene ganas'' (English title: ''My Ex Wants Me'') is a Venezuelan telenovela written by Martín Hahn and produced by Venevisión in 2012. Daniela Alvarado and Luciano D'Alessandro star as the protagonists with Norkys Batista, Lilibeth Morillo, Winston Vallenilla and Jonathan Montenegro starring as co-protagonists while Guillermo Garcia, Carlos Montilla, Miguel Ferrari and Eileen Abad as antagonists. On May 16, 2012, Venevisión started broadcasting ''Mi ex me tiene ganas'' weeknights at 9:00 pm, replacing '' El árbol de Gabriel''. The last episode was broadcast on December 5, 2012. El Talismán
El Talismán (''The Talisman'') is a telenovela co-produced by Venevision and Univision Studios, starring Blanca Soto and Rafael Novoa as the main protagonists, and Aarón Díaz, Lola Ponce, and Marcela Mar as the main antagonists. Univision had announced that ''El Talismán'' would air on the network as part of the 2011–2012 programming schedule, and was confirmed to air in 2012 on November 11, 2011. Though 120 episodes were planned to be produced, the episode count was reduced to a total of 98 due to low ratings. From January 30 to February 3, 2012, Univision aired ''El Talismán'' at 8pm/7c, replacing one hour of ''Una familia con suerte'', and later at 9pm/8c from February 6 to March 9, 2012. Though ''El Talismán'' was seen by 5 million viewers during its premiere day, viewership declined over time during its prime time airings.
