Production vehicles or production cars are mass-produced identical models, offered for sale to the public, and able to be legally driven on public roads ( street legal). Legislation and other rules further define the production vehicle within particular countries or uses. There is no single fixed global definition of the term. Origin In 1896 the term ''production car'' was used to describe a railway carriage that carried the scenery for an opera company. The earliest use of the term ''production car'' being applied to motor cars, found to date, was in a June 1914 American advertisement for a Regal motor car. Czinger 21C
The Czinger 21C is a hybrid sports car developed using artificial intelligence and 3D printed by the American car manufacturer Czinger Vehicles. Manufacturing began in 2021, with a planned production run of 80 units and deliveries starting Q1 2023. Presentation Designed, developed and built in Los Angeles, California, the Czinger 21C launches the new brand Czinger Vehicles named after its founder Kevin Czinger. The car was to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2020, but the show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was instead presented on March 11, 2020, in London during a special event. Power-to-weight ratio (PWR, also called specific power, or power-to-mass ratio) is a calculation commonly applied to engines and mobile power sources to enable the comparison of one unit or design to another. Power-to-weight ratio is a measurement of actual performance of any engine or power source. It is also used as a measurement of performance of a vehicle as a whole, with the engine's power output being divided by the weight (or mass) of the vehicle, to give a metric that is independent of the vehicle's size. Koenigsegg Regera
The Koenigsegg Regera is a limited production, plug-in hybrid grand touring sports car manufactured by Swedish automotive manufacturer Koenigsegg. It was unveiled at the March 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The name Regera is a Swedish verb, meaning "to reign" or "to rule." Koenigsegg planned to produce only 80 units of the car, many of which were sold upon unveiling, though 84 Regera were actually constructed.
