Popular culture (also called mass culture or pop culture) is generally recognized by members of a society as a set of practices, beliefs, artistic output (also known as, popular art or mass art) and objects that are dominant or prevalent in a society at a given point in time. Popular culture also encompasses the activities and feelings produced as a result of interaction with these dominant objects. The primary driving force behind popular culture is the mass appeal, and it is produced by what cultural analyst Theodor Adorno refers to as the "culture industry". Heavily influenced in modern times by mass media, this collection of ideas permeates the everyday lives of people in a given society. Gregory A. Smith (born November 24, 1987), known professionally as Kid Fury, is an American YouTube vlogger, comedian, and writer. He is best known as the co-host of podcast ''The Read'', with Crissle West. Early life Kid Fury was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where his parents emigrated from Jamaica. He has two younger brothers. He enjoyed comedy from a young age and especially liked ''In Living Color'', ''Martin'' and ''Moesha''. ''E! Daily Pop'' is an American daytime talk show that airs on E!. It premiered on May 1, 2017. Premise The show covers pop culture and celebrity news. Cast Catt Sadler, Carissa Culiner, and Justin Sylvester were the original hosts when the show premiered. Sadler left in December 2017 after a pay dispute between herself and fellow co-host Jason Kennedy. Morgan Stewart started making frequent appearances in early 2018 and later became a full-time host. Nichole Perkins
Nichole Perkins is an American poet, writer, and podcaster. Perkins co-hosted the podcast ''Thirst Aid Kit'' with Bim Adewunmi (2017-2020). She is the author of the poetry collection ''Lilith, But Dark'' (2018) and the memoir '' Sometimes I Trip on How Happy We Could Be'' (2021). Life and career Perkins was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. Growing up she was an avid reader of books by authors such as Beverly Cleary and Mildred Taylor. Julia Turner (born c. 1979) is an American journalist and critic. She is Deputy Managing Editor of the ''Los Angeles Times'' from 2018 and a co-host of the '' Slate'' Culture Gabfest podcast.
