Ada Cohen is an American art historian. She serves as Professor of Art History and Israel Evans Professor in Oratory and Belles Lettres at Dartmouth College. Her work focuses on ancient Greek art, particularly imagery of Alexander the Great. From 1990-1991, she was a member of the Columbia University Society of Fellows in the Humanities. Albert Cohen (August 16, 1895 – October 17, 1981) was a Greek-born Romaniote Jews, Romaniote Jewish Switzerland, Swiss novelist who wrote in French. He worked as a civil servant for various international organizations, such as the International Labour Organization. He became a Swiss citizen in 1919. Biography Abraham Albert Cohen ( el, Αβραάμ Αλβέρτος Κοέν) was born in Corfu, Greece, in 1895, to Greek Jews, Greek Jewish parents. Albert's parents, who owned a soap factory, moved to Marseille, France, when he was a child. Albert Cohen discusses this period in his novel ''Le Livre de ma mère'' (''The Book of My Mother''). Alan Cohen
Alan Phillip Cohen (born October 5, 1954) is an American businessman, best known for his ownership of the Florida Panthers hockey team and his founding of several generic pharmaceutical companies, most notably the Davie, Florida-based Andrx Corp. Cohen. Biography Cohen graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in pharmacy. In 1984, he founded the drug distribution firm Best Generics Inc. and sold it to Florida's Ivax Corporation in 1988 for $10 million although he stayed as president until 1990. In 1992, he founded Andrx Pharmaceuticals Inc. as a private company. The new firm grew through the production of generic drugs when patents expired and drugs using the company's time-release technology. In 1996, the company went public at $12 and its stock eventually soared as high as $400 a share split adjusted. Aharon Cohen ( he, אהרון כהן; 1910-1980) was a senior member of Mapam, a pro-USSR Israeli political party which existed during the first two decades of statehood. Born in Britchany, Bessarabia in what was the Tsarist empire, now Romania. He came to Palestine in 1929 where he joined kibbutz Sha'ar Ha'amakin, near Haifa. Four years later he was sent back to Romania as a Zionist youth movement organiser. He returned to Palestine in 1936 where a year later he was elected to the executive committee of Ha-kibbutz Ha'artzi and was involved in organizing political work in Haifa and illegal Jewish immigration. Adva Cohen( he, אדוה כהן; born March 24, 1996) is an Israeli runner. As of 2019 she held the Israeli national records in the indoor mile, 3000 metres, and 5000 metres, and outdoor under-23 3000 metres steeplechase, 5000 metres, and half marathon.
