Artour Babaev, better known as Arteezy, is a Canadian professional '' Dota 2'' player for Shopify Rebellion. He is also one of the most popular streamers among the community. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Babaev showed much promise as a child, reached the highest matchmaking rating leaderboards in public matches. In November 2013, he made his professional debut in MLG Columbus as a stand-in for Speed Gaming. Andree Camille Bonifacio (; born December 13, 2002), known professionally as AC Bonifacio, is a Canadian-born Filipina dancer, singer, vlogger and actress known for being the first ever grand champion of Filipino TV dance competition ''Dance Kids'' along with Lucky Ancheta In 2016. James Barber (author)
James Barber (23 March 1923 – 29 November 2007) was an English-born Canadian cookbook author and host of ''The Urban Peasant'', a CBC cooking show. Barber worked as an engineer before becoming a food critic for ''The Province''. He immigrated to Canada in 1952. His lifelong interest in food and writing and his increased knowledge in these areas naturally led him to become a cookbook author. Following his retirement, he spent his remaining years on his farm in British Columbia's Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. An energetic and passionate man with a large personality, Barber strove to empower others to do things for themselves. Barber was married twice and fathered five children; 3 sons and 2 daughters. Perhaps fittingly, Barber died peacefully on 29 November 2007, at his farm of natural causes while sitting at the dining room table reading a cookbook with a pot of chicken soup simmering on the stove. Joan Balzar (November 8, 1928 – January 16, 2016) was a Canadians, Canadian artist, known for her vividly coloured Hard-edge painting, hard-edged Abstract art, abstract paintings, which sometimes included metallic powders or Neon lighting, neon tubing. Biography Joan Balzar was born Wilma Joan King in Vancouver, British Columbia, on November 8, 1928, and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Victoria by parents Wilfred and Mae King. She was married in 1950 to Roman Balzar, an engineer; the marriage lasted for 22 years, and she continued to be known professionally as Joan Balzar throughout her life. Through her husband, Balzar became interested in science, structures, and technology, and gained easy access to the many industrial materials, such as metallic powders, that made their way into her painting techniques. Hey Ocean!
Hey Ocean! is a Canadian indie alternative rock and synthpop band formed in 2004 in Vancouver. David Beckingham and Ashleigh Ball had been friends since grade 6, joining with David Vertesi in the 2000s to form the band. The band consists of Ashleigh Ball (vocals/flute), David Beckingham (vocals/guitar), and David Vertesi (vocals/bass). Their music draws from many genres, including pop and acoustic, and the group tours Canada widely. They have performed locally alongside other Vancouver acts such as Shad K, Mother Mother and Said the Whale. The band ran their own label for many years, being represented by Nettwerk Management, and had overtures from Gene Simmons before signing with Universal Music Canada for distribution in 2011. Connor Bedard (born July 17, 2005) is a Canadian junior ice hockey centre for the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League (WHL). Bedard was selected by the Regina Pats first overall in the WHL Bantam Draft in 2020 as the first WHL player of exceptional status, and won the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy as the league's top rookie player in his debut season.
