Prilep
Prilep ( mk, Прилеп ) is the fourth-largest city in North Macedonia. It has a population of 66,246 and is known as "the city under Marko's Towers" because of its proximity to the towers of Prince Marko. Name The name of Prilep appeared first as ''Πρίλαπος''. The old fortress was attached to the rocky hilltop, and its name means “stuck” ''on the rocks'' in Old Church Slavonic. It was mentioned by John Skylitzes in relation with Samuel of Bulgaria, who died here in 1014. Petar Naumoski
Petar "Pece" Naumoski ( mk, Петар "Пеце" Наумоски; born 27 August 1968) is a former Macedonian professional basketball player. At a height of 1.95 m (6'4 ") tall, and a weight of 95 kg (210 lbs.). He played mainly at the point guard position during his career, but he could also play as a shooting guard and a small forward. He was a very skillful play maker. Petar Popović (architect)
Petar J. Popović (25 May 1873 – 4 February 1945) was a prominent Serbian architect. In addition to notable architectural achievements, Petar Popović made a great contribution to Serbian heraldry and vexillology. He was also a painter. Early life and schooling Popović was born into an old and distinguishable family of priests in the town of Prilep, at the time in Ottoman Empire. His family left Old Serbia (then under the Ottoman Empire) when he was a child and came to the north in Smederevo, where Petar received his primary education. He continued schooling in Belgrade wherein 7th grade he switched from classical to technical high school which he finished with excellent grades. Popović proceeded to study architecture at the Technical Faculty of Velika škola (1892-1896). Gjorče Petrov
Gyorche Petrov Nikolov born Georgi Petrov Nikolov (April 2, 1865 – June 28, 1921), was a Bulgarian teacher and revolutionary, one of the leaders of the Bulgarian Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Committees. He was their representative in Sofia, the capital of Principality of Bulgaria. As such he was elected also a member of the Supreme Macedonian-Adrianople Committee (SMAC), participating in the work of its governing body. During the Balkan Wars, Petrov was a Bulgarian army volunteer, and during the First World War he was involved in the activity of the Bulgarian occupation authorities in Serbia and Greece. Subsequently he participated in Bulgarian politics, but was eventually killed by order of the rivalling IMARO right-wing faction. Ali Fethi Okyar
Ali Fethi Okyar (29 April 1880 – 7 May 1943) was a Turkish diplomat and politician, who also served as a military officer and diplomat during the last decade of the Ottoman Empire. He was also the second Prime Minister of Turkey (1924–1925) and the second Speaker of the Turkish Parliament after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Biography He was born in the Ottoman town of Prilep in Manastir Vilayet (present-day North Macedonia) to an Albanian family. In 1913, he joined the Committee of Union and Progress (İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti) and was elected as the secretary general. In 1924 he was appointed Prime Minister as the successor of İsmet İnönü.
