Rich Beem
Richard Michael Beem (born August 24, 1970) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and is best known for his upset victory at the 2002 PGA Championship. Beem was born in Phoenix, Arizona, grew up in El Paso, Texas, and played college golf at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. Beem turned professional in 1994. Rodney Roy Beck (August 3, 1968 – June 23, 2007), nicknamed "Shooter", was a relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the San Francisco Giants (–), Chicago Cubs (–), Boston Red Sox (1999–) and San Diego Padres (–). Jerryd Andrew Bayless (born August 20, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player. He played a year of college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats after playing high school basketball at St. Mary's High School in Phoenix. He was selected 11th overall in the 2008 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers and was then traded to the Portland Trail Blazers. College career As a freshman at Arizona in 2007–08, Bayless led the Wildcats in scoring with average of 19.7 points per game with 45.8% shooting (40.7% 3-point shooting). He also averaged 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds and 35.7 minutes per game in 30 games. Phil Barkdoll
Phil Barkdoll (born September 7, 1937) is a former NASCAR owner/driver from Phoenix, Arizona, who only ran at two tracks in his entire career, racing at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. NASCAR career Barkdoll campaigned part-time on the NASCAR circuit from 1984 to 1997, relying on small sponsorships and free advertising to help pay for his racing. He has provided a ride for other drivers at other tracks. Barkdoll began racing in 1981, with his first race coming in the 1984 Winston 500. Bobby Ball (racing Driver)
Robert Kay Ball (August 26, 1925 – February 27, 1954) was an American racecar driver. Early life Ball's parents divorced when he was a year old. He was raised by his grandmother, who enrolled him in a military academy as a teenager in an attempt to take his mind off cars and motorcycles. Racing career Ball began racing with the Arizona Roadster Association, subsequently switching from roadsters to midgets. He won the Arizona State Midget Association (ASMA) championship in 1949 and 1950. He finished fifth in the 1951 Indianapolis 500 and 32nd in the 1952 Indianapolis 500. Ball won the AAA Championship race at San Jose in November 1952. On January 4, 1953, he was involved in an accident at Carrell Speedway in Los Angeles which left him with terrible head injuries. Charlotte T. Armstrong (née Lubman; June 17, 1924 – November 24, 2008) was a pitcher who played from through in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Mark Steven Alarie (born December 11, 1963) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was listed at 6'7" and 217 lb. Jim Ahern (golfer)
James Russell Ahern (born February 26, 1949) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour. Ahern was born in Duluth, Minnesota. He attended Oklahoma State University and turned professional in 1972. He toiled in relative obscurity on the PGA Tour in the 1970s, never finishing higher than ninth in 60 tournaments. He lost his card at the end of the 1975 season. Ahern became the head pro at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club in 1980 and five years later founded Executive Golf Ltd., a golf concierge firm that arranges weekend golf instruction retreats for high-end and Fortune 500 clients.
