Moore Park (Oregon)
Moore Park is a municipal park in Klamath Falls, Oregon, United States. It is located along a section of the south end of the Upper Klamath Lake. Because almost all the fishing on the Klamath Lake requires a boat, with the exception of a few springtime bank fisheries, paved boat ramps at Moore Park are popular access points to the Lake for fishing. Location Moore Park is adjacent to Putnam's Point at the north end of the Link River Trail and is approximately from the southern end of downtown Klamath Falls. Access is permitted through U.S. Route 97 and U.S. Route 140. Moore Park has boat access to Upper Klamath Lake. Especially popular is Howard Bay ramp along the west shore of the lake. The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD), officially known (in state law) as the State Parks and Recreation Department, is the government agency of the U.S. state of Oregon which operates its system of state parks. In addition, it has programs to protect and provide public access to natural and historic resources within the state, including the State Historic Preservation Office, Oregon Heritage Commission, Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries, recreation trails, the Ocean Shores Recreation Area, scenic waterways and the Willamette River Greenway. The Klamath Falls Veterans Memorial Park is a recreational park located on Lake Ewauna in downtown Klamath Falls, Oregon, US. It was established in 2007 as a memorial honoring those who have served and/or are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, Coast Guard and Wartime Merchant Marine. Construction of the park was overseen by the 173d Fighter wing, Oregon Air National Guard located at Kingsley Field. The City of Klamath Falls oversees the maintenance of the Memorial. The park features memorial bricks for past and present military personnel, an informational kiosk, a covered pavilion and a display of Locomotive#2579 used by the Southern Pacific Railroad. ''Conger'' ( ) is a genus of marine congrid eels. It includes some of the largest types of eels, ranging up to 2 m (6 ft) or more in length, in the case of the European conger. Large congers have often been observed by divers during the day in parts of the Mediterranean Sea, and both European and American congers are sometimes caught by fishermen along the European and North American Atlantic coasts.
