The list of number-one singles of 1995 in Italy includes all the song that reached the top spot on the weekly chart compiled by the Italian music magazine ''Musica e dischi''. ''Musica e dischi'' also compiled a weekly albums chart in 1995, but in March of the same year, the Federation of the Italian Music Industry started its own chart, which replaced ''Musica e dischis one as the official Italian albums chart. Compiled by Nielsen, the first FIMI albums chart included sales for the week starting on 23 February 1995. ''Musica e dischi'' was the oldest and long-running music industry publication in Italy. '' Billboard'' defined the publication as the "Italian record bible". History It was founded in October 1945 in Milan, Italy, on the initiative of the journalist and musicologist Aldo Mario De Luigi, a former record executive at La Voce Del Padrone-Columbia-Marconiphone (VCM, now EMI Italy). Originally, the magazine was published under the name ''Musica'' (''Dischi'' was added on the second edition) on a monthly basis. Antonello Venditti
Antonio "Antonello" Venditti (born 8 March 1949) is an Italian singer-songwriter and pianist who became famous in the 1970s for the social themes of his songs. Biography Antonello Venditti was born in Rome, the son of Vincenzino Italo Venditti from Campolieto, in Molise, deputy-prefect in Rome, and Wanda Sicardi. He studied piano in his youth and made his debut in the music world in the early 1970s at the Folkstudio of Rome, together with singers like Francesco De Gregori and Giorgio Lo Cascio. In duo with the former he released in 1972 his first LP, ''Theorius Campus''. Neri per Caso are an Italian a cappella musical group. Career The group formed in Salerno as Crecason in 1991 and consisted of six elements: Diego and Ciro Caravano (brothers), their cousins Mimì and Gonzalo Caravano (also brothers), Mario Crescenzo and Massimo De Divitiis. The group's name was changed after they met songwriter and producer Claudio Mattone, who saw them performing in Rome all "dressed in black" (in Italian "Neri").
