Auteuil, Neuilly, Passy
"Auteuil, Neuilly, Passy (rap BCBG)" is a song recorded by the satiric group Les Inconnus in 1991. Released as a single from their album ''Bouleversifiant'', it achieved great success in France, reaching number one on the national singles chart. Lyrics and music After their success with many sketches, Les Inconnus decided to release this single, their biggest success, which is actually a humorous sketch. The group used music by Maceo Parker in the song without his permission; as a result, they had legal problems due to copyright issues. The song has rap and R&B sounds, and is punctuated by many "Salut ! Tu - vas - bien ?". '' Music & Media'' considered the song as a "parody on rap", in which "the three TV stars turn the tables on the usual raprecord dialogue-which often boasts of male chauvinism, ghetto talk and social engagement-by coming out with a rap about rich snobs. Miles from Brooklyn in many ways, Auteuil, Neuilly, and Passy are names of the most fashionable quarters of Par ...

1991 In Music
This is a list of notable events in music that took place in the year 1991. Specific locations * 1991 in British music * 1991 in Norwegian music Specific genres * 1991 in country music * 1991 in heavy metal music * 1991 in hip hop music * 1991 in Latin music * 1991 in jazz Events Summary Although the year 1991 is the year that grunge music made its popular breakthrough, heavy metal was still the dominant form of rock music for the year. Therefore, Nirvana's ''Nevermind'', led by the surprise hit single "Smells Like Teen Spirit", was not the most popular U.S. album of the year. The most popular album was Metallica's self-titled "black album". Nirvana's success was eventually followed by other grunge bands like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Stone Temple Pilots, as grunge climbed the U.S. charts for the next few years. Its success eventually ended the reign of the glam metal and other hard rock groups that enjoyed massive success in the 1980s like Mötley Crü ...

La Zoubida
"La Zoubida" () is a 1991 novelty song recorded by the French TV presenter and humorist Vincent Lagaf'. In May 1991, it was the second single from his album ''Le Lavabo''. It became the summer hit of 1991, staying at the top of the French Singles Chart for three months. The song formed the basis for a side-scrolling platform game, ''Lagaf': Les Aventures de Moktar — Vol 1: La Zoubida'', developed by Titus Interactive; the game would later be altered and released as ''Titus the Fox'' internationally. Lyrics and music In a humorous style, "La Zoubida" tells the story of a young North African girl called Zoubida, who lives in Barbès, whose parents have forbidden her to go dancing. The girl is saved by her friend Moktar, but, as he is a robber of "golden" scooters, the two end the night at the police station. These dubious clichés have earned the song some criticism. As for the music, the melody is repetitive and every sentence is echoed in the vocals. The music is taken from the ...
